Laura, A few places like autozone will scan why the light is on for no charge. Engine light can come on for something as simple as a loose gas cap to something worse as a faulty catalytic converter. Take vehicle into a good shop, have scanned for trouble codes, diagnosed and an estimate for repair. Martin, have car scanned for trouble codes by a good Tech., diagnosed and estimate for repair. If it is and IR unit, it will say "IR Transmit Enable" on Pin 3 of the 12 pin plug diagram. If you have a system where the headphones work, the IR systems have headphones that have a power button and volume only and one AAA battery in each earpiece. The RF's have an additional button for scanning and used more batteries than 2 AAA

Crankshaft position sensor maybe , throttle position sensor , coolant temp. sensor etc.... It could be a lot of thing's . Instead of buying this part an that part ,take it an have it diagnosed . To a good ASE certified repair shop . Unless you like buying unneeded parts .

.050 is the spark plug gap if you have the 3.8L engine. Hope this helped and best wishes.

One you could burn up the circuit you are pulling power from, and two if you run it from the battery you could forget to disconnect and run the battery dead. One way the engine computer controls engine temp by turning the fan on and off. So running the fan all the time could keep the engine from reaching normal temp.

The relay should be in the integrated power module, note the picture. Hopefully the lid will have the legend and tell you which fuse/relay is which.

Try removing the radio/amp fuse over night. If still dead, look elsewhere for your draining problem.

Behind center console

The SRS system is self diagnostic, if during the self check the system registers an error the light will not go out and the system will not arm. The only way to shut the light off is to repair the issue. Your vehicle will need to be hooked to a scan tool that is able to access the SRS side of your vehicle and pull the code, repair the issue that has set the code. Simple as that.

I would go to O'Riley's and ask them to check it ; might just be the fuse

No recall for old cars, but give some more info for diagnosing.

According to my understanding there are two different fuse / relay panel locations in this 2005 model. One main box under the front hood located by the battery, and on some models a second smaller panel is also located up under the bottom of the drivers side headlight turn switch - right up under where the front hood pull release is located. Your situation could be being caused either by a blown fuse or relay located in either of the two locations. I am attaching a couple photos of both locations for you to go by which should shed some light on your locating the correct relay and or fuse to check

It depends where you live. Mechanics charge between $45-$125 an hour plus parts. Do a search on line for the labor time needed to replace a master cylinder. Mechanics usually look this up and calculate their hourly rate this way. Private mechanics will be cheaper than dealers mechanics.
