Hello darionte. Get a can of a penetrating lubricant called WD-40 at your local autoparts store. Spray it on and leav it for 30 minutes. This will penetrate the threads and loosen it up. Joe

I try to use a c clamp to compress piston on rear

There is a tool with a couple of expanding ears and a threaded shaft through the middle that allows you to push the piston while turning it in clockwise at the same time. Some auto parts stores will loan the tool to you, or rent it. You may be able to do it without the tool if you can find a way to accomplish the same thing. There are a couple of slots in the face of the piston. If you can use needle nose pliers to twist while you use the use a pair of big waterpump pliers to compress, you may be able to do it.

Hope this helps,
Dave

Has problem with securty system and other problems

mcdevito75 here, It"s possible the alrm system and the back fireing are associated, specially if the alarm (security system) is factory (built with the car) BEST BET have an auto alarm shop take a look, most auto shops that do glass, windshield, doors etc. also handle alarms.

Were is thermostat located

1. Follow the upper radiator hose from the radiator to the engine block and there you should see a neck where the hose is connected to the engine block.

2. Take the hose off by removing/loosening the clamp and pulling the hose off. Sometimes it's easier to use a screwdriver to pry the hose off. Be careful though not to damage the hose.

3. There should be 2 bolts on top off the housing. Take the bolts completely out and remove the housing from the engine block.

4. Remove the thermostat and gasket from the block and clean the location good with a wire brush. This ensures a good seal for the new gasket. Sometimes it helps to have a razor blade or other scraper to clean it with. Try not to score the metal when cleaning.

5. Installation is reversed. Some thermostats require a sealant to be used with the gasket, be sure to ask when you buy the thermostat.

6. Start vehicle and let it run for a little bit to check for leaks. If everything checks out, you are good to go.

What wrench or crows foot and extensions do I use

Wherever you can, you should use a tubing wrench, whether it is a crow's foot tubing wrench, or just a normal style wrench with a tubing wrench end.

Those fittings are tight, an you have no options left if you damage the fitting.

As far as what to use, it is always a game of Legos as you try to gain sufficient access with enough oomph to do the job. Use open en wrenches to find what the size is, then use what you learn from that to get the same sized tubing wrench.

If you are removing the hose, and you do not intend to use it again, it can really make things easier to cut the metal line close, then use a socket...

I have a 1994 Buick Regal Gran Sport. It will not

When my 94 Regal GS frequently wouldn't start for 30 minutes to an hour after being driven, it was the crankshaft positioning sensor that needed to be replaced. I also replaced the harmonic balance pulley. The car ran more smoothly and started everytime.
