Ob
No, your GM product is OBD I and uses an ALDL Assembly Line Data Link connector in about the same place as most newer connectors under the dash. this system is only standardized to each carmaker(GM,Chrysler, and FoMoCo). There is a way to get the two digit codes With a paperclip, but I don't remember haven't had that car(88 SkyHawk) in 12 years.
Stalls on acceleration
I've seen lots of things cause this problem, without seeing the car i cannot give you an absolute fix. but i can give you a list of possibilities.clogged fuel filter, partly clogged catalitic converter. bad air fuel mixture solenoid, marginal coil pack, clogged pickup screen in the gas tank (on the fuel pump), Corrosion in the distributor cap. Falty ECM. vacuum leak (around the EGR circut) to name a few. You can try and pull trouble codes off the ecm by grounding the A and the B pin on the ALDL connector refered to now as the OBD connector.to do this you need a paperclip. ground pin B to Pin A turn ignition on and the check engine light will flash a series of 2 digit codes which you can look up on the internet or in a service manual.
Heater blower does not work on 1992 Buick Park Avenue
Hit the blower motor with a hammer handle and see if it starts, if it does replace the blower motor, if it doesn't replace the blower motor resistor located next to the blower motor in the air ducting with the connector sticking out of the air ducting
Piston
Depends on what you mean by bad.A bad piston could cause you to have zero compression on one cylinder, or making alot of noise, or both.
1992 Buick Park Avenue shuts down while driving but will start right back up
Check your fuses for the accessries in the vehicle or for a fuse that has data port, or obd. This could be why the vehicle is not being read by the scanner. As far as it dieing, the cam positioning sensor is one of the most faiiled electrical parts on a lot of newer cars. I would check that before anything else. But yes it could be the crank sensor as well. If no blown fuses than look into pcm. The main computer can be damaged and it would not communicate through its data port as a possible sde effect.
