Where did it break? If you can grab the cable end that is still attached to hood latch, use a good pair of pliers and pull on it.If it broke under the hood, not so good ! Only way to get hood open then, is to reach up from underneath with a flat blade screwdriver and find the lever that cable is attached to at the latch. Push the lever towards driver's side to pop the hood.. If you can't get to it from underneath, see about removing the grill, or get your hand in from there to reach the latch.
