Turn the key to run position (engine not running) theft light will flash a few times and stay on. Leave for approximately 10 minutes (may take up to 20 min.) And the theft light will turn off. yes the shaft you have to pull and wiggle it till it comes off the shaft. move it back and forward a few times.

Does the check engine light come on? It should, when it does stop by an autoparts chain store and have them read the codes.

Under the drivers side dash......it is facing towards the driver so the connectors can be reached. The module just pops out.

Check driver side switch panel both sides control from switches,,,, both sides of dash with doors open there is a triangle area panel fuse on driver side and connectors for door electrics,, on passenger side the connectors for passenger side check connections..
