Hello crispycristy: My name is Roger and I will help you. The reason the tire wear is extreme is due a an alignment problem. Some thing was bent or moved in the accident. This could have been subtle or ever so slightly. You may or may not be able to see with your eyes. You need to have the alignment reset. How ever front end parts are expensive and can be expensive to replace. It does not take much to bend a strut or damage a wheel bearing. Have your mechanic check it for the damage that was done as soon as possiable as it can cause a accident.

Hi, there is a black fusible link in the wire, but the likely problem is the dimmer switch. It's mounted

You have a short in that circuit. I hate to be the barer of bad news but the only way to fix this problem is to either take the time to find the short which is most likely a bare wire touching metal on your car, or you can rewire your power to the radio and windows. I know that is not what you wanted to hear, but I hope it helps.

Most GM vehicles from the mid 80's to around the mid 2000's have this problem. The problem is the "antitheft" systems that GM has been using. The number one symptom of this problem is seeing a light on the dash that says SECURITY. Read this link for info on these systems and some DO IT YOURSELF ways to fix it forever.

You have to pull the gas tank out of the car. To do this, first disconnect the ground cable from the battery to make sure you have no power that could cause a spark. There are probably two fuel lines that you will need to disconnect from the tank. A preasure line and return line. You may need a special tool for this that can be puchased from any parts store. It also would be a good idea to syphon as much fuel as you can from the tank. Loosen the two straps holding the tank in and drop it down using a floor jack. Lower it just enough to get to the wire loom and unplug that from the fuel pump. Once you get the tank out, The is a ussually a spanner nut or large snap ring holding the fuel pump in the tank. loosen that and remove the pump from the tank. Just reverse everything for reasembly.
