2001 Buick Century Questions & Answers
PO 753 AND PO502 ARE MY CODES WHAT DOES IT MEAN
P0xxx codes apply to all vehicles using the OBD2 system, P1xxx codes are manufacturer specific. Your codes mean...
P0753 = Shift Solenoid "A" Electrical.
P0502 = Vehicle Speed Sensor "A" Circuit Low.
This is possibly 2 separate issues as one is a transmission fault code and the other is a vehicle speed sensor issue. Get the speed sensor repaired first as sometimes the bad signal from the sensor can confuse the transmission electronics causing the transmission to behave strangely.

2001 Buick Century ABS, TRAC OFF, SERVICE SOON lights after fixing hub
My Buick had an ABS problem and since I had new brakes installed my mechanic disconnected the wiring. You still have full brakes and they will work fine but the ABS part won't work. Since i did not want to spend a lot of money I drove it that way for about three years. ABS is just an addition to help but not all cars have it.

Engine stalls out then it takes about 15 minutes before I can restart
Wow man that sounds to me like a temperature sensor that could be going out you might want to check the last job that you did to ensure that everything is put together the way it's supposed to be by the factory sometimes people do mechanic work and as you're going in to fix something something else breaks that they don't pay attention to you must pay full attention and everything in your engine bay
Engine diagram
Take some picture on your phone and show them along with the vin number they should be able to tell from that.

P0340
go to the wreckers / junk yards and get good replacement parts
there is no difference between ford and GM technically so if you are a good ford technician , fixing a GM product will be no problem

Heater won't turn on sometimes, or turns off by itself and only works on High.
I can't diagnose unless you can do some testing? This is part of diagram for automatic hvac. At the blower motor, terminal B is voltage, terminal A is ground. Use a test light, check voltage and ground with hvac on, Have to check when problem is ongoing. If good voltage and ground with no blower action, suspect the blower motor is faulty. Of course, if your missing voltage or ground, have to track that circuit. Faulty blower motors may run intermittently. When problem is ongoing, hvac on, you can try tapping blower motor with screwdriver handle see if it starts running, if it does, I suspect the blower motor has a problem. Check hvac trouble codes, where applicable.

2001 buick century stalled without warning. tried to restart, but wouldnt crank, no fuel pump noise, no click. had power to radio, heater fan, flashers but not dashboard lights (prndl, fuel gauge).
Make sure battery has a full charge and battery connections all good. Check fusible links where applicable. Any component that doesn't work and is fuse protected, not only check the fuse, check the fuse circuit for voltage, use a test lite.
The wiring diagram is for starter circuit, you can see the fuses. Any testing for starter motor, make sure tranny is in park or neutral and parking brake is set. It is possible to jump crank relay to see if starter motor will crank, but, that doesn't mean it will start. Make sure vehicle can't move.

Buick century 3.1 2000 security light staying on car wont crank what can that be
It's the anti-theft system . (SECURITY ) Keeps vehicle from being stolen !
Important: If the wrong ignition key is used in an attempt to start the vehicle, a Data Trouble Code (DTC) will be set and the Body Control Module (BCM) will not send a fuel enable or starter enable message to the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) for three minutes even if the correct ignition is used.
The Pass-Key II?® Theft Deterrent system prevents vehicle theft by disabling the starter motor and fuel system. If the Body Control Module (BCM) dose not identify the use of the correct ignition key to start the vehicle, the (BCM) will communicate a message to the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) which will disable the crank relay and fuel delivery to the engine.
When the (BCM) identifies the use of the correct ignition key (resistor pellet) to start the vehicle, the (BCM) will send a fuel enable and starter enable message to the (PCM) which will allow the vehicle to start.
Your best bet would be have it towed to a qualified repair shop !
