What is PO 174 on a 2005 ford taurus
Bank 2 lean. Bank 2 is the rear cylinder bank. There are several possible causes. From leaky lower intake manifold gasket to failed O2 sensors.
2005 ford taurus leaking antifreeze but doesn't overheat and it leaks out the passenger side of the car in the front
if its leaking inside the car its the radiator or heat exchanger for the climate control where the hot air comes from. will get worse and it will eventually over heat the engine.
quick cheap fix is to disconnect the two pipes in the engine bay that go to the heat exchanger at the the fire wall in the engine compartment. you will have to join them together so that everything on the engine still works. they are usually 20mm or 3/4". you can use a bit of copper pipe that size and the hose clamps.
Door chimr module loca5ion 2005 taurus
There isn't a chime module , built into instrument cluster !
Door Ajar Chime
The door ajar chime feature is controlled by the smart junction box (SJB). The driver and passenger door ajar switches, and the lift gate are hardwired to the SJB. If any door or lift gate is sensed as being open, and the ignition switch is in RUN/START position, the SJB will process the input and sends a chime request to the instrument cluster over the controller area network (CAN).
Safety Belt Warning Chime
The safety belt chime feature is controlled by the restraints control module (RCM). The driver safety belt switch is hardwired to the RCM. The RCM communicates with the instrument cluster over a hardwire connection. If at any time during the first 6 seconds after the ignition switch is placed in RUN the driver safety belt is sensed as being unfastened, the RCM will process the input, and in turn, sends a chime request to the instrument cluster.
Do you know what C.A.N controller area network is ? Serial data communication bus.

2005 ford taurus horn just doesn't work. I've
The problem can be with the horn pad, the horn relay or the horn itself. Find your horn relay, it should be in the engine compartment fuse box. Remove the relay and test for power at the legs. there should be two legs that have power. If there is power there, take the cover off the relay and plug it back in. Squeez the relay points together and see if the horn works. If the horn still does not work, it is probably the horn itself. If it does work it is probably the horn pad, but you don't want to mess with that because of the air bag. Let a pro do it.
All of this is predicated on the fact that you have checked all the fuses.
Hope this helps

Location of #1 piston on 2005 ford taurus
There are three variations of the Taurus engine. All are 3.0L in size. Leave it to Ford to make things confusing. All have the same piston location, although one model has coil packs and the other has coil-on-plug. Here is a diagram showing the piston position and firing order.

Brake system data error what does it mean
Just fixed my error. My abs light came on every time I turned on the wipers, then in the message center after several times showed "brake system data error" turned out to be a loose ground and that fixed the problem. . .
