Which fuse controls the tail lights on 2002 ford excursion

Although the Mitcell fuse legend does not list it as such, their wiring diagram shows the park lamp relay (which should power up the tail lamps) to be powered by fuse number 38 in the central junction box. 20 amp

Excursion oil filter

Depends on which engine you have. So for a 5.4L v8 engine a Bosch filter pt D3410 fits.

None of the gauges work

It's a 10 amp red fuse in the dash behind were your left knee would be, use a Quarter to take the cover off. Replace the fuse located lower right hand corner,4th one from the end. That also stops your chargering system from working and drains your battery. I have the same problem as to were I believe it's something in the nuetral safety switch? haven't replaced it yet, as to were if you find out can you e-mail me so i quit replacing the fuse every time i blow one,Thnxs Mike ([email protected])

Rear air suspension not airing up on 2002 ford

Take the battery terminals off for 3 minutes and tighten them back on, the ECM will relearn and that will normally do the trick.

Dashlights are out. where is

there are a bunch of very small light bulbs doing all that work. if they are all gone it is a common element to them all, such as a bad ground connection from the instrument cluster to the car or a fuse
or power connection.

does not hurt to call a dealer service desk, or drop by and when they have a minute ask if this was a common problem and was there an easy fix to it. such as a recall or a tech bulletin.

2000 excursion turn signal operates normally until

The earth connection to the light units is poor, probably due to a corroded screw on an earth wire between the light unit and the vehicle chassis or even a corroded nut and washer, holding the light unit onto the chassis. When this happens, the bulbs being illuminated try to draw their earth connection through the other bulbs in the unit, causing them to illuminate as power is drawn through them.

Remove the nuts that hold the light unit to the chassis and use a wire brush to clean the nuts, screws and area of the chassis where they touch and reassemble. This should cure your problem. In the event that this doesn't work, find a place on the chassis nearby where you can attach a new well connected earth wire and then attach the other end to the metal body of the light unit. You MAY have to find where the earth for the light unit is currently placed and connect directly to that depending on how the particular light unit is connected and wired.

When puting into gear

you have a short on that fuse wire somewhere look for broken wires. dont put in a bigger fuse cause all you will do is melt the wire plus every wire around it and that will be really expensive. have somebody trace the short if you can't yourself. goodluck

Leaking transmission fluid after towing

this is usually a case of the very hot rans fluid expanding and bubbling out either the dipstick hole or the vent on the transmission case.

Check fluid level, keep to low side of stick when towing. Consider adding an additional trans fluid cooler that has at least one large tube so fluid flows through in cold wetaher.

Driver side valve cover hose what is it and how do

I believe it is for crankcase ventilation of vapors. It connects to the PCV valve. JB Weld would be the best way to attach it. Clean the area and wipe with alcohol to get any oil resdue off. Then JB Weld it.
