My check engin light came on the codes came up as po133, p1000 what do i do to fix my car is a 1998 ford windstar?
A code P0133 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:
- The oxygen sensor is faulty
- The wiring to the sensor is broken / frayed
- There is an exhaust leak
the problem is more than likely the front
Bank 1 oxygen sensor. You will likely wind up replacing it but you should also consider these possible solutions:
- Check and fix any exhaust leaks
- Check for wiring problems (shorted, frayed wires)
- Check the frequency and amplitude of the oxygen sensor (advanced)
- Check for a deteriorating / contaminated oxygen sensor, replace if necessary
- Check for inlet air leaks
- Check the MAF sensor for proper operation
- code p1000 refers to emission monitors not fully run and requires a couple of drive cycles from cold start to fully warmed drive cycle at different speeds.

Why won't my 1998 ford windstar start?
Sounds like a typical failure caused by corrosion at the battery terminals or the terminating ends at the chassis (negative) ground point, the starter or starter solenoid.
To clean these, always disconnect the NEGATIVE battery terminal first and re-connect it last.
If you already haven't lost it, your alarm system and radio may not be accessible without reentering one- check before disconnecting.
A simple device available at parts stores that uses a 9 Volt block battery can protect against this loss for hours.

Wipers wont work
Did you check each side of the fuse with a test light ?.I have been caught out checking fuses with a meter that tested ok only to find them go open circuit under load. If ok test again with the light at the wiper motor , if light shines bright fault is in the wiper motor, repair or replace.

1998 Ford Windstar AC compressor
They get more than warm, but not excessively hot that you can't touch
it. This can be caused by a faulty condenser fan motor, dirty condenser
coil even low freon, which is my guess along with a dirty condenser.
Check these two issues and if it's not the problem your compressor may
be getting ready to die. because of internal issues with the motor
windings. Make sure the fan is running to speed, clean the condenser
and see if the larger copper pipe to the compressor is ice cold and
sweaty, if not you may need freon

Picture of where the vss is located
the Vss is located on the transmission it picks up vehicle speed from the drive shaft ,and since this minivan is front wheel drive yep it's crammed in a tight spot but just can barely be seen from top it's just infront of steering wheel shaft on drivers side of car it;s made from a black plastic and looks to be held in with two small bolts , but does have a wire harness connection at a right angle . if your gonna take that out yourself i;ll caution you to unhook battery from car first this sensor goes right into your main cpu and any occasional grounds of this may dammage cpu and as tight as this looks to be to get out id say your gonna have it hitting ground few times

How to wire a
There are diagrams on the Autozone site after you register your vehicle. Or do a Web search on "1998 Ford Windstar fuelpump wiring".
Hard to know if you are talking about just the rear-end wiring for the tank pump or the whole vehicle. There is a safety device called an Inertia switch which should remain connected. The fuel pump gets power from the front of the vehicle. Once you see the diagram you will see what I mean.

Engine turns over but will not start
No spark is the key. look for a loose wire first, then if that does not work test the power source for the coil to see if it is energized. the coil must be supplied with 12 v in order to charge for the spark.
