why get a reconditioned transmission when yours is fixable for a lot less money indicates , low fluid level, dirty oil servo/solenoid problems have the fault codes read first for free at most auto spares shops to find the exact fault

It could be any number of things, most likely cause is you have a oil sending unit that is wore out and giving false readings. Either buy a new sending unit and change it out or hook an oil pressure tester to your engine and check the oil pressure. I'd buy a new sensor and replace it myself, because the vehicle is 23 years old and probably the original sending unit, besides the oil sending unit has to be removed in order to check pressure with mechanical gauge anyway.

take a look at the water pump

Vin is usually visible on drivers side front of dash where it meets windshield. To see it you will probably have to be on the outside of the vehicle looking in

There is a central control module on the fuse panel that has a speaker in it. Looks like an oversized relay. It's use is for when you leave the keys in the ignition, left the lights on, or the door isn't closed all the way. It will still run without it.

Simple bulb / check engine light test is Key on engine off; the check engine light should come on.

You don't need a diagram. Run the where you want. Just a note though. Keep them above the bottom part of the frame and away from the exhaust. They don't have to run above the fuel tank. And you don't have to cut out the old lines.

just because the radio etc works does'nt mean that the battery has enough power to turn the engine over ,so try a jump start then get the battery checked to make sure its holding charge. if thats ok get the alternator charge rate checked, as if on the low side the battery will not retain enough power for all the vehicle's components.keep me posted

CHECK THE FUSES

IF there is a warranty on the rack and pinion I would take it back and ask that the problem be repaired or the rack replaced . I suspect the rack where the seal runs on is scored and any new seal will fail as well.

You are going to have to remove the interior door panel, I suspect the linkage between the handle and the latch is broken or has come apart inside the door.

Timing belt/Gas pump/starter/alternator

The vac modulator only assists the transmission in knowing when to shift up. If the engine oil pressure gauge is acting wildly, it could be the sensor or the oil pressure could really be going up and down.

Is it possible the torque converter is locked up ?

Most are front passenger side under the dash in the panel where your right outside ankle would be.

The Misfire is just more noticable at higher speeds. I would recommend that you do a tune up....

Your back-lit display light is either burnt out or the fuse is blown. It may be a more serious problem that needs expert attention. i.e. a mechanicThere could be a circuit board that controls the back light that has gone bad like I had with an LCD monitor once.

Common problem for digital instrument clusters.Normally the cluster is sent to a shop for exchange or repairs.You may be able to disassemble the cluster and replace some of the mini-bulbs yourself.Make sure the dimmer switch is not turned down.
