Diagram for 2001f150 5.4 engine cooling hose

check soft plugs in the back of the engine block (also called freeze plugs) which are there for the purpose of expansion in cases of freezing solid in order to prevent the engine block from cracking under the pressure of freezing. its not a costly repair if you can get to the plug to replace it yourself ? if not get it to a shop pronto because soon the temps outdoors will increase causing overheating of the engine to occur without proper coolant capacity. Good Luck and i hope this helps you.

Shifter stuck in Park after replacing key switch

Did the lock pin fill one of the slots on the lock plate just under the turn signal switch? Try wiggling the steering wheel while while turning the key. That sometimes helps relieve pressure on the lock pin.

1991 ford f150 fuel problem

Is it possible the fuel hoses are not hooked up right ? If you only changed the rear pump and the lines are correct, its possible the new pump damaged the check valve in the front pump. The valve could have been about to fail before replacing the rear pump. You may be able to block the line going into the front tank and run the truck from just the rear tank.

Why does my f150 miss so bad

Check for vacuum leaks or for a bad ignition system. There may be high-voltage leakage from one or more of the spark cables, preventing the spark from getting to the plugs. A vacuum leak can cause some cylinders to get a more lean or more rich mixture than other cylinders.

How do you test sending unit on fuel pump

On the top of the engine there is a fuel rail, on the rail is a shreader valve (looks like a tyre valve). You need to screw a fuel pressure gauge to it to test. !DO NOT PRESS! will spray fuel at pressure.

Where is the fuel transfer valve on a dual tank 19...

From what I can find out Ford did not use a fuel transfer valve in 1992. They ran both pumps to a common fuel line and used one way check valves to keep one pump from filling the other tank while keeping the entire fuel system pressurized. Your tank selector switch is actually switching pumps off and on, not a transfer valve. The problem Ford had was the one way valves failing causing one of the tanks to overflow. They have an external one way valve kit to solve this problem, but the valves are about $85.00 each.
