For the 2008 Ford Explorer ONLY (SUV). Look under the steering wheel. There is a black fuse box near emergency brake pedal. You will need a flashlight and a dental mirror (very tight space. Look between the lower lid of the box on the slim space to the left side. Take your time, you will see a bar code and 5 above it...That's it! I found mine that way. If you are laying on your back looking up, it's the gap above your right shoulder.GOOD LUCK!

And I checked the coolant water and found it good

I have hearing a lot of this lately with Fords. Most of the time this dash board light comes on due to problems with the Throttle Body (TB)not just your coolant,etc.. If it is sticking, dirty, causing misfires, etc. then this can cause an engine fail safe mode. You might first try putting in some injector cleaner and a higher grade of gas. Many people I know who have had this problem have had to have their TB cleaned and/or replaced. This is something Ford dealerships now about, but hasn't been made a recall or anything. There are service bulletins though.Mainly keeping cleaner in your gas and performing ritual tune-ups/oil changes may be the only thing you can do.Hope this helps

This really sounds like a problem with your battery. I know you said you checked it, but is it really putting out the appropriate voltage (12.66 volts) and CCAs? Even draining the battery once can damage it (especially in cold weather), and cold weather reduces the CCAs a battery can put out. A weak battery can cause those codes. When the vehicle hesitates to start, does that typically happen on colder mornings or after the car sat for longer periods of time? I would double-check your battery. If it's the original, it's near its end of life anyway.

The relays are located in the reverse side of the passenger compartment fuse panel. As you look in the relay box the flasher relay in the top row, farthest one to the left. It kinda stands alone as it is in the first position. If I remember correctly it's the biggest relay you see in that box. I hope this helped and good luck.

Hi

Trouble codes begin with a letter specifying the location of the problem. "P" stands for power train and encompasses most of the engine.
The code is for the baro switch. I would check all the connector for loose wire or contact. If not then you should replace the baro sensor. It is located on the manifold and can cause a hesitation.

Fuel vapors escape a vehicle, and enter the atmosphere, every time a car is driven down the road. Car manufacturers utilize an evaporative emission system, or EVAP, with a manifold absolute pressure/barometric, or MAP/BARO, pressure switch solenoid valve for control of fuel emissions.

Identification

A MAP/BARO solenoid valve reacts to the commands of the MAP/BARO sensor, as dictated by the engine's on-board computer. Electrical current runs through the solenoid valve for opening and closing the component.

Function

The MAP/BARO sensor observes barometric air pressure and intake manifold pressure through the opening and closing of the MAP/BARO solenoid valve. The solenoid's switch between different air pressures gives the vehicle's EVAP system a chance to balance fresh intake air with the internal fuel vapors.

Significance

Without the differing air pressure observations, the EVAP system would have trouble quantifying the internal fuel vapor pressure. A poorly controlled emissions system would allow more fumes into the atmosphere, affecting the environment in a negative way.

This is the best answer I could find but it appears that your owners manual has the answer in it unless you are in the position this person is in after disconnecting battery. Good luck.
