ATT.NET7.3 POWERSTROKE WONT IDLE 99
According to my Haynes Diesel Engine Repair manual this is a list of possible causes.
1.Slow idle incorrectly adjusted
2.Fast idle is inoperative
3.Restricted fuel return system
4.Glow plugs turn off too soon
5.Insufficient fuel suuply to injector pump
6.Injector pump malfunction
7.Incorrect, contaminated or poor quality fuel
8.Air in fuel.
The manual is part number 10330 anywhere they sell Haynes manuals ($20). It has a very good section on the 7.3 especially if you don't want to spend money at a diesel shop every time it needs work. Hope this helps.

It seems that there is a battery draw that is shorting out the fuse. you need to trace the wire back to the point of power and see what is going on. My theory would be that some place in the power out (from the fuse) it is grounding to the chassis. I wouldn't even be able it give you and idea where to start considering how many wires there are, but if you can isolate that wire and chase it back to the cluster and the gauges you will find the issue.
Cruise control works intermittantly
Hi there,
Your vehicle's Cruise Control electronics will be linked to your OBD-II diagnostics - you can have your fault codes read by someone with a suitable scanner or have them read by your local Dealership (this should only take around 15mins to do). This will identify the faulty circuit and/or component.
The most common components which could cause this intermittent issue, are either:
1) Brake Pedal switch: check for correct switch operation by observing that break lamps are working.
2) Hydraulic Brake Pressure switch: this is mounted to the brake master cylinder. If you can obtain the correct ohms (resistance) measurement from your local dealership, you can check this yourself using a suitable multimeter (sorry, I don't have the ohms data for this model). If measurement is not within spec, then should be replaced.
Hope this helps...

Yes you can. Just do it like they did back in the days. Take a hose, put it in the tank, and **** on it. The bigger the hose, the faster the drain but it is also harder to get it to flow. Even with a decent size hose Ed, it still takes time this way. But on a good note, you don't have to mess with that tank. Best wishes.

Sounds like you flooded out by washing , eather let dry on it's on or remove distrubuter cap and dry it with dry towel. Good luck.
The gas gauge on my
The Fuel level FLOAT, in the tank is defective. Possible that it "holed", and has sunk to the bottom of the tank.
To check, separate the harness plug to the Tank sender unit, and ground the supply to a suitable place on the frame. The dash gauge should record "Full", therefore the sender unit is suspect.

The temp sensor for your transmission is bad. It is inside the transmission.(Not an external sensor). Can be changed without changing other components. Mine did the same thing. Ford Dealer changed it out.
