run he fault codes and look for a problem in the canister system as it sounds like a tank venting problem.

dirty fuel filter

check for loose hose fittings -cracked fuel lines --leaks at the fuel filter gasket--leaks at the pump shafts . I would be looking at the filter gasket as it may be not be sealing properly. Check that the air equaliser valve at the top of the tank is not blocked and creating a vacuum in the tank

Im an automechanic by trade, and know nothing about plows or tractors, although some knowlege might apply to both. I suspect that screw adjusts the speed of its relitive lever, there are probably more for each lever. If it works, go for it. I see no problems arising, but again I know little about tractors or plows, but lots about mechanicals and how stuff works. Put the screw where you want it, and ride on!

That light means that the shift points have changed on the transmission. This is to get better economy when hauling. If it wont stop flashing then there is a valve in the transmission that is bad or sticking. You will have to have it removed and overhauled..

check trans oil level if its low it will make it more difficult to move the shifter

Yes Robert this is obvious when you say that the temp is below 30 dgr and you could use the exhaust heat to warm up the fuel line if you have someone capable to make the changes , or you could use the coolant to heat up the fuel filters taking a bypass and coiling it around the primary filter. Hope my suggestions solve your problems.
