I have a 99 mustang cobra and changing the clutch.

there is six bolts holding the trans. the best way to get the the bolts out is to go ahead remove the drive shaft and than the cross member to the trans. you will have to remove the starter because it is attached to the trans with two 5/16 bolts or 1/2 socket. let the trans hang down so you can see all the bellhousing bolts. remove them but be sure you have a jack under the trans. this is about the easiest way make sure you let the trans hang.

Obd code of p0411 on a 1999 ford mustang 3.8 v-6

That's s failure of the secondary air pump. It'll have to be changed. It's an emissions component meant to help with cold start emissions. It won't cause engine running trouble but at inspection time you'll fail for smog. Change it before then and you'll be fine.

Won't start after storage

How long did you store it? Gas goes bad in as little as 5-6 months, if it fires with starting fluid then you need to drain the tank and fill with fresh fuel.

DRIVING LIGHTS STOPPED WORKING.

You have to basically remove the bumper cover in order to do this.
You will need a 10mm socket with a couple extensions and a phillips screwdriver.First remove the plastic shield inside the wheel well using the phillips screwdriver. There are three 10mm bolts that have to be removed the attach the bumper cover to the fender. The first one is just inside the newly uncovered hole. For the other two you will need the extensions. They are located all the way back in the hole beside the headlight assembly. If you look in with a flashlight You will see 3 bolts down in there. One of them will have a 1/2 inch spacer on it. Do not worry about this bolt, it holds the header panel on. The other 2 bolts are the ones you need to remove. Once this is done, if you need to remove the bolts under the hood that hold the bumper cover on the header panel. You should now have adequate movement to move the bumper cover out of the way of the 3 10mm bolts on the headlight assembly that were blocked.

Im not getting any power to the brake light switch 1999 GT mustan

Check fuse #41, if its good then the brake switch may need replacing. You can test the power to the switch by the use of a voltage meter touching the LG/RD (light green/red) wire with the red side of the meter and the other probe to ground. If more than 10 volts its good. You can check the BPP (brake pedal position switch) by installing a fused jumper wire from LG/RD to the RD/LG wires. Connect a 10A fused jumper wire between C242, Circuit 10 (LG/RD), harness side and C242, Circuit 810 (RD/LG), harness side. And check the brake lights, if they go on then the switch is defective. Hope this helps you.

Front wheel makes a terrible grinding noise.

sounds like a brake problem, jack it up, pull off the tire and inspect the pads, if the rotors are getting that hot that quick it has the be a problem in the pads, the caliper, or you have a warped rotor....a quick inspection of the area will narrow things down pretty quick for you....best of luck!!

How do i [ut my rear bumper on my mustang its a 99

I am assuming you mean the rear fascia... this is the plastic part seen when outside the vehicle that covers the actual bumper

real simple to replace, about 6 screws and 2 bolts and the whole thing comes off

just make sure you pull it rearwards from the vehicle and DO NOT try to spread it away from the car

there are two very important clips in the rear quarter panel that the fascia mounts into

I have a 1999 ford mustang, i tried to take it out

Hi- Sorry to hear you have a problem.

!- the Fuel pump is inside the tank.
2 The fuel can dry within sealed units like the fuel filter.
If you are getting fuel past the fuel filter then I would get a can of WD40 and spray 3 to 5 seconds into the breather - intake. Then try to start the car. If it fires or tries to run OR runs as long as you spray then you know for sure it is a fuel problem. Sometimes the fuel will work it's way past the blocked a dried unit causes - enough to get it home to where you can change out the filters.

As a TEMPOROARY FIX - - you might get a 2x4 about 19 inch long. bang it GENTLY [ to not bend the fuel cell] on the bottom of the tank. Sometimes sitting makes the fuel pump develop a flat spot and do not want to turn without a little help. This doesn't always work but often it will 'get you home' to where you can do a more through fix.

I hope this helps - please RATE ME - if this helps at all.
Thanks

Gary

Spark knocks bad when warm outside and #6 cylinder

If it is the same plug every time, then you have an oil leak past the valve guides on that bank. It needs new seals.

Other than that, preventing knock in warmer weather can be done by doing such things as running higher octane or getting the motor to run cooler.

Hi there, I have a 99' Mustage and I couldn't get

Try taking the cables off your battery and re-installing new ones. Or try adjusting the ones you have and tighten them real good. It sounds like it's sparking due to a loose cable. If the battery is completely dead it will do the same thing. So two choices, try the cables and then check your battery to see if it is good.

Can I transfer my keyfob?

If you have key less entry on the 99, then it can be reprogrammed. Instructions are in the manual, or you can call a ford dealer. I don't want to give you an improper procedure and frustrate you. But it only takes about 30 seconds.
