camshafts affect valve timing only and have nothing to do with air intakes . Air intakes only affect the air flow into an engine past the valves . Problems you are likely to encounter are air flow sensors as they will be different from each engine.

You don't need a manual to check the fuses 1 at a time. Just doing a visual (or use multimeter) will sometimes let you find a bad fuse. You do know that the top is raised and lowered using small motor located under the hood. Use dianostic code reader to find out who, what, where the problem is. Most readers are free to use at Autozone, Advanced Auto Parts, and NAPA.

check the trans fluid levels

its impossible to lose that much fluid with out a leak. the was so low that it has burned your clutches out. would have to rebuild or replace entire transmission

most newer fill pipes on gas tanks require the tank to be drained and removed enough to take it off.. the fill pipe goes in almost a foot into the tank..then either remove the screws in the filpipe flange at the cap area and it needs twisted and pulled for removeal..spray with wd40..

Do you power coming out of the switch when connected? If you do maybe you fuel pump is bad.

The heater/AC temp control blend door is warped and sticking, this is a very common problem in this series of mustang, in order to fix it the dash must be removed.

Cap rotor and wires .

check inside distributor cap for carbon dust and clean out. separate HT leads and ensure that they are clean. Check coils for dirt /oil or other means of shorting out especially around the HT lead to the distributor.

You need to remove all of the fuel from the tank and lines, then replace with fresh fuel. Today's gasoline, especially those with any percentage of Methanol in them will not stay in storage very well past 6-8 months, sometimes less in bad weather conditions.

You will need to remove the right front wheel & wheel well liner. The canister purge valve is behind the cover. It should have two tube going into the bottom and one on the side near the top.
