main things to check would be the thermostat and water pump. then you should have a compression test done on the engine as the over heating can cause the headgasket to fail or the problem could just be because your head gasket needs to be replaced

your stereo should have come with a wiring diagram for it that at least tells you what color wire is what coming out of the stereo just match up the colors/signals per this chart: This for for a typical ford- http://www.installdr.com/Harnesses/Ford-Wiring.pdf

The solenoid is the small cylindrical object that is attached to the starter.

Crank sensor it is located behind the crankshaft pully on the front of the engine.

Is located in cover valve cap

You have to get a used pan
or weld yours

Thee proplem it may be from the engine computer or the Engine

Take a real good look at the engine wiring harness.Ford used low temp wire by mistake on these cars and i have seen the insulation fall off the wires and cause strange problems.

This requires you removing the cv shafts, taking loose the engine/transmission mounts, unbolt the transmission from the engine, removing the transmission, taking the pressure plate and clutch disc off the flywheel on the engine, then putting everything back once the new clutch parts are put back on. Looking a day of work to complete.

maybe heatercore hose right there.

remove the door panel for that door. make sure the window is all the way up. there an access hole th where the cylinder is. unclip the little rod to the cylinder. theres a clip that holds the cylinder to the door. remove this and unplug the power to it if its lighted. and remove the cylinder and reinstall

the fan may have went out. what your feeling is air coming in as you drive. ford trick for fresh air lol. the fan needs to be tested to see if it has stopped working

you have just answered your own question...when you take off the connector to the sensor,the fan runs.....change the sensor.....

Turn the key on to the on position and not start. Listen very closely. You should hear the fuel pump run for about 2 seconds. If not then the fuel pump is probably bad. I think that the Contour has a place in the trunk to access the fuel pump. If not, you have to drop the fuel tank.

It is normally caused by the power steering fluid being low. Check the power steering fluid level and top it off as needed.

doesnt it run off the brake resevoir

pull off aplug wire and check for spark

shut car off, use funnel in dipstick pipe to fill. start car and recheck level in park.
