Heat works great but when
Your bottom flap valve for the air flow box is stuck. It may be a bad vacuum line, stuck rod, or flapper is stuck. You can open it manually, by going to the box, nest to the heater core, and moving it by hand. that will tell if the rod or flapper is stuck. with the vacuum line, you have to check the line itself, its rubber( they do give out. This is the three things wrong most of the time. Also check the vent hose to see if it happened to come off. hope this helps
What is the highest alternator amp that can be put
Check out Ebay for Alternators. I have seen some for special duty on that site and I want to say 185-200 Amp. There were some additional power parts needed for those installations. Limousines, Ambulances and Emergency vehicles use them. I believe the van Ambulances are on a FORD E350 or E450 chassis which should be the same under the hood as your F350.
You need to watch the pulleys carefully on whatever you buy. Besides the width and diameter, there are ribs on the pulley and you don't want to change everything just for a belt. Some of the Police cars ran 135-165 Amp units.
Do a Browser search for Emergency vehicle lighting, Emergency vehicle power and variations of that. Some volunteer firemen are big into adding lights and fixing their private vehicles for runs. You might be able to get a Kit to power Electric snow-blade equipment with an additional Alternator mounting bracket, Alternator, pulley, wiring and belt.
I hope my solution has been very helpful to you. Most of the smaller Alternators have internal regulators, the bigger ones require a hang-on Regulator. But you need to be aware of the wiring harness and its ability to handle the power.

i would try looking at the wires to the trailer hitch under the rear of the box where the whip that runs to the front which has a plug on it,connects to where it branches off to go to each tail light,somewhere there is a short blowing the brake light fuse.When that happens you wouldnt be able to shift it unless you turn the key on until it unlocks the steering,then shift it to neutral,then start it then it would go into gear to drive it but you still wouldnt have brake lights.

You should have access to transmission shop in your area, call them and ask if they have the external coolers with thermostat control on them. It certainly won't hurt to try it, and if nothing else, it will be a benefit to any new transmission installed, if necessary. I think they are pretty reasonably priced, and they may even give you a break because of where you work.

Bummer, your only option is to address why the bolt will not tighten, either the wrong bolt (too short) or stripped threads. If threads are stripped, use a helicoil to repair. Be certain to allow straight access as this step must be perfect or larger problems will result.

I have the same problem,, put all new brake components on truck, needed it anyway,, found out that the booster is not designed for a diesel application,, ford made a model change for the diesel,, number from ford is F 5 T Z - 2005 CA a zero loss booster,, have ordered on will put on when arrives, $240. good luck,,

You have to remove the air intake and also remove the battery to gain access to the head light...Unscrew the wiring harness counter clock wise and remove the light insert, insert new light insert and reattach wiring harness

The injector's are control, by the computer, if no injector pulsation, bad computer, the quad drive is bad, only repair is replace computer.

How many miles on the engine? Replace the oil w/ a 75/25 blend of Motor oil and Lucas Oil Stabilizer.This may help some but I'm afraid the engine needs an inframe overhaul.

How many miles on the truck? Replace the air filter.Check all aftercooler lines for air leaks.Check your turbo to be sure the seal is not leaking causing the engine to **** oil thru the turbo. You may need to clean the fuel system.Add 32 oz of Power Service 911 to your fuel. If none of this helps and you have a high mileage truck it may be time to replace the injectors

I sounds like you have air in the system I would start by bleeding the entire system,when did the wooshing sound start before or after you replaced the brakes,and witch brakes did you replace(front,rear or all)
When the truck sits for a short period of time the
you would be suprised if it is the glow pluds not turning on becouse the temperature sensor for the plugs is reading its still hot, check the sensor most of them r on the drivers side back by the firewall where the number 8 cyl
