It's the tape deck there must be a tape that got caught inside and is wrapped around the capstan or the heads and the radio stays on because the switch is not activated by the deck lowering down far enough you have to take it out and clean it and look for any tape or other obstructions that would stop the mechanism from working including the belt you may need parts and a 20 year old radio there hard to find try the junk yard for a replacement but you can operate yours with the cover off if you can get it out far enough to see inside while it's on and that will help you find the problem but first bring it inside your house so you don't loose parts after cleaning with alcohol and derusting if any and a light lubricant you might be lucky see what happens I also use an adapter for my cell phone music in a 2007 bull and I also did it in an 87 bull with a cd player so I know what your talking about also make sure the adapter wire is not hanging up when pushing it in good luck also brand new replacements might be the best way to get the music you want they have auxiliary input jacks for cell phone mp3 players but try to fix yours first the learning part is priceless for the future radios you will own

Yes but that's an inertia switch that shuts down the fuel pump if your in an accident it's possible but I don't this so you must remember which side you hit the puddle with R/L you could've shorted out the ignition module the coil pack or the computer check for spark ground out a spark plug wire to the engine and see if you get spark wear rubber gloves because if there is spark it's 40,000 volts and you'll look like harpo marx after check the coil for incoming voltage first if there is check for it coming out with the test I just described if no spark you hit the lottery replace the coil if no voltage is coming into the coil from the module and computer side check the module for + voltage in if so then check the wires going to the coil if none the module shorted out if no voltage is coming into the module then your computer is gone but I hope not I think it's your coil but you must check all good luck Stephen

if its had a new battery fitted but it still needs a jump it still could be the start motor or the wrong battery fitted 72ah min i think is the minuem for your vehicle, it could also be a faulty starter, or it could at worst be a stiff engine.

could be a good move to have the transmission oil changed next move is to have the fault codes read to determine the sensors at fault new transmission --no --from your description , you never mentioned any strange noises so it will not be necessary to go that path It will be electronic problems not mechanical take it to an accredited professional transmission shop , have the codes read and get a proper diagnosis done

what you describe is a tyre problem, probably as you say belt separation I would stay away from rotors at this point as they really will not give what you describe you can try doing a tyre rotation and see if the problem goes from front to back If it does then you will know that you need 2 new tyres You can go to a tyre shop and have each wheel checked for a problem tyre on the balancer unit if there is a case problem , it will not be able to be balanced easily It is poor practice to run different brands of tyres as each tyre has its own handling characteristics and that will give you noise and control problems

If one needs replacing, so will all the others. Easiest way is to separate the engine from the transmission and hoist the engine out of the car . That way you'll have access to all the freeze plugs

First you need to take off the belt(s) then unlossen the bolts

check fuses and wiring connections --was the battery tested before alternator was replaced --test battery and alternator battery may be failing or has failed --alternator improper wiring -or new doesnt mean free from defects

This is just a guess here, but, does it have gas? If there is no gas, the compressor won't start. Also check the connections in the compressor housing, and the switch inside the car, the one that turns it on.

I would have the fuel pump pressure tested when it doesn't start, I will bet the fuel pump is failing. The electric pump is located inside the fuel tank.

How many miles since you changed trans fluid and filter?
