An Oxygen Sensor (O 2 S) or heated Oxygen Sensor (HO 2 S) is used on all engines. The sensor is mounted in the right side exhaust manifold on some V8 engines, while other V8 engines use a sensor in both right and left manifolds.

Heated oxygen sensors are located in the exhaust pipes below the exhaust manifolds. The sensors react with the oxygen in the exhaust gasses and generates a voltage based on this reaction. A low voltage indicates too much oxygen or a lean condition. Where as a high voltage indicates not enough oxygen or a rich condition.

Disconnect the Oxygen Sensor (O 2 S). Measure resistance between PWR and GND (heater) terminals of the sensor. If the reading is about 6 ohms at 68°F (20°C). the sensor's heater element is okay.

shouldnt be any sensor that would be effected. i believe the first thing i would do is to change the fuel filter. if it still does it, then have the fuel pump pressure checked. if a sensor is getting messeed up then the check engine light should be on. in which case you could go to autozone and get the code read to find the problem

Your check engine light should be on by now. First n foremost check to be sure the transmission fluid is guaged. Not too much n not less. Take note of color of ATF too if it due please change oil, I hope u ve been servicing ur transmission too. B4 taking shift solenoids off n all pls have the car scanned.

If your power steering went out one direction at a time, it most certainly has to be the steering gearbox causing the problem. All the control valving is in the box. The pump just pumps constantly and the box either bypasses or directs pressure and flow.

It is probably the intake manifold gasket, ect, engine colant temp sensor could be the cause. if the computer thinks its cold it raises the rpm. Here is a resistance chart to test it so u just don't go replacing parts: Ford Fuel Injection » Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor (ECT)

In addition, the only thing that will run the rpm's up to the 2K range and upper, is a vacuum leak or the IAC motor malfunctioning.

Some fault code is stored there? Scanned the PCM.

A blocked fuel pipe from the tank or the pump is not working. Take it off and work it by hand to see if it will squirt fuel.

You will have to get the hood open to see what is going on, maybe the drive belt. Otherwise look underneath.

5.8L Ford 1993

I've got the nut off of the upper balljoint on my 1994 f150 4x4 and i cant seam to get any play at gettting the camber adjuster loss. the top of the tire was wayout.

Depending on your engine, if its located on the distributor remove the two screws/bolts that secure it pull downward to take it off, then slide the new one upward and put your screws/bolts back in, if you have the ignition module on the driveside fender same instructions.

Obviously a short to ground somewhere. Is there a trailer hitch on this truck? Look there for possible wiring problems. Get a wiring diagram to locate connectors on a circuit to disconnect, then you will isolate the problem and look/search the wiring harness for shorts to ground. Check both taillight lamp housings for any wiring problems, splices, etc.

Amp warning light says there is a problem with the alternator. have the charging system checked.
