You need a socket with an allen/hex bit. Not sure about the size of the hex bit you will have to figure that out yourself. There are 2 scews holding the on calipers.
Heres what they look like:

They are on the back of the caliper toward the engine, find the proper size hex socket. They sale a set of the sockets at Autozone for around $10, 3/8 inch drive. Thats the best way to go.

try replacing the cam shaft positoing sensore. its litterly behind the water pump. When ford desinged these they wernt very smart, the electronics of the sensore are incased in a resin. when the resin gets hot it exposes the electronics, when they get wet they short out. mine did this when the water pump went out, it leaked onto the sensor. it kinda of a PITA but a hase or chilton maunual will walk you through it.
Trying to locate where low
- The Freon that a 1992 Taurus uses is R-12. You can't recharge this system because R-12 is available only to licensed technicians and is quite regulated. The adapters used to check an R134 system and an R-12 system are very different in size. You cannot check an R-12 Ac system with R134 gauges. You will have to take your 92 Ford Taurus to a shop and have them charge your R-12 AC system. No way around this.
- I think the R-12 is far cooler in temperature so I kept the R-12 in my 92 Taurus. I never converted it to R134.
- As for where the HI and LOW side are you did not list the engine size but if you go to the AC compressor and follow the lines around the engine bay you will quickly locate them. One should be on the left side by the firewall and the other will be on the left side towards the front.

My 92 Ford Taurus has
Some speed sensors will help the transmission know when to switch gears, but with some of the things you describe, sounds like after driving it that long, damage to the transmission has occured. Also, it could be a bad torque converter. There is also something called the transmission torque converter clutch solenoid, causes the car to buck and cut off. Hope this helps, any questions just contact me.
When I put a 1992 ford Taurus 3.0L into drive the
- It can still be a bad motor mount or transmission mount.
- The other thing you want to look at is your idle. If it is set a bit to high it my pop the engine up a bit when you engage drive. There is a little screw on the throttle body you can turn a bit to the left and see if this helps. If it does not then you got a bad mount or bushing somewhere.
- Something else to consider is changing the fluid in your transmission. If the fluid is low or old and broke down this too can make your car a little jumpy when going into drive.
- I own a 93' Taurus and turning the idle back a bit fixed my issue but ine of the three things I listed is going to be the problem.

Find transmission drain plug
If you're looking for it, there isn't one. The easiest way to drain it isto remove all the bolts except for the ones I gues you could say in the four corners. Loosen the two on the on side and as you lossen the other two alternate back and forth and the one end should start to drop. It will be like you are pouring it out. A messy job either way but that's how you do it. I hope this helps and good luck.
