My 85 thunderbird died on
One of several possible issues. Check for any vacuum leaks. If you have an external fuel filter, have you replaced it ? If filter is internal with fuel pump, inside fuel tank, may want to do a fuel pressure test first.
Have you checked for any codes in your engine control module ?

Alternator not charging the battery, keeps stalling and/or not starting
Your battery is discharging because you have a circuit drawing power when ignition is off. You have to identify the line by hooking up an ammeter to the battery and with the ignition switch off, start removing fuses till the draw goes down. Once you locate the offending circuit, you need to check all of the wiring and items on that load.

When faceing the motor which is the intake first
An easy way to determine which rocker is the intake or exhaust is by looking at where the ports for the manifolds are in relation to the rocker itself. Each rocker arm is aligned with the port it serves. Therefore if a particular rocker is aligned with the runner on the intake manifold, it's an intake rocker etc.

No fuel spray at injectors
Check to see if fuel shut-off needs to be reset. It should be in either the left or right quarter panel in the trunk.

If you hear the fuel
Have you checked battery, alternator, or starter and connections? Thats where i always start if I have no crank. One of those is the reason 99% of the time. I'd check your battery first. maybe put another in see if it starts, if it does take positive wire off when running. if it dies your alternators dead and probably killed your battery. If none of that works check your starter connections to see if your getting the correct power with an ohmeter. If that checks out take the starter in to get it tested. I would bet that somewhere in that process you will find your problem. Hope It works out for you.
