04 f350 airbag light flashes 7 times then 3 times

Are you sure it is not 4 then 7? There is a code 47 but no code 74. If it is 47 then that would be the passenger side seat belt pretensioner.Has this vehicle been in an accident? This is a deployable device so I would be kinda careful with it. I wouldn't recommend doing much more than making sure that a wire isn't disconnected or broken. It is in the buckle section. It is designed to pull belt tighter during a collision.

Can not find my engine warmer plug for my 2003 ford f 350

glow plugs run off the battery . the plug is for a block heater that you may or may not have . if you have a plug it is behind the grill on pass side , it has a cap over the prongs so you might not think of it as a plug untill you pull the cover off . if you ask nice any shop in your area will show you where it is or where its not . good luck

2002 F-350 7.3 liter deisel engine heater

There should be a small wire harness on the inside of the driver side tow hook under the bumper. The chord is very short and has a cap over the plug. Just reach in and you'll find a black cable about 1/2" thick. There's another wire tapped into it that has the plug end.

Fuel pumps or fuel system

Kelly;
Funny this truck ran good 1 day and not the next. 1 of 3 problems;
1.Injector pump failure, plastic part inside. Notorious failure.

2. Fuel pump failure.

3. When you filled up at the station, you may have got a dose of water in the tank. I would check this first by draining fuel and looking for water. If you find water, more than usual, you may have an insurance claim against station.

7.3 stalled after getting fuel

Sounds like your station got a little low on fuel and their transfer pump blew out their filter element (in the pump). So you ended up with the crud. Recommend you get about 3 new filters and be ready to swap them out when your truck dies. On the legal side, unless the station manager is really nice the best you can hope for is a new tank full. Show him/her the filter! Maybe he'll be happy you let him know he needs to do filters on his pumps.

Towing with automatic in overdrive

Yes if you are going over hills on a daily If you have upgrades ie chiped you are putting more power to the wheels but first it goes through the trans you might want to put an aftermarket trans cooler to be safe. If you are in the city keep it out of O/D but on the highway it shouldn't hurt it. I put 20000 in the bed of mine and it pulls fine

Gas mixes with the cooliant

If coolant leaks into the engine and mixes with fuel, that means that you need to replace the head gasket.

2002 F350 7.3 DIESEL SPUTTERS WHEN SITTING FOR TWO DAYS

If its cold it will not like to start try plugging it in a hour before you start it. If that dosen't work you could have bad glow plugs. Try turning the key to the on position wait for the glow plug light to go out and then go back to off and try again then start. If not any of that drain the watter from the bowl and put some injector cleaner in the tank and change the fuel filter. You might have air in the fuel system some how. Try bleeding the fuel system

Check the U-joints and axle baerings. But its most likely because the truck is in four wheel drive.

I am changing my alternator and need to release the belt tensioner to remove?

if you need to release the belt. look at the front of you hood next to your raditor where all the stickers are. it should show you the diagram of the belt and it should show you where the tensiner is. you will need to release the tensiner to take the belt off. usually it is a pully about mid way down. you will either have to stick and 1/2 drive into it and pull it towrads you or use a crow bar to grap the bolt that sticks out. and pull on it that way. if you do not see a tensioner. than do this.

look at your alternator and see it should have 2 bolts holding it on. look and see if the is a slot where one of the bolts can slid back and forth. if so than all you need to do is loosen the bolt that does not slide but do not take it off. and than loosesn the bolt that slide. it will allow you alternator to move freely and release the belt. after that take the alternator off and install the new one. after that do not tighten the bolt the is able to slide as you will need this to move when putting the belt back on.
put the belt back on the use a crow bar to push the alternator away from you so it will tightn the belt. than have someone tighten the bolts back up and you should be good to go.

Won't start

if you have power and can turn the key and hear a click and your power is not lost than it is your starter it is bad or stuck.. you can try to hit it with a hammer SLIGHTLY. and try to knock it loose and see if it doesn't turn over then. if it doesn't than you need to replace the starter. you might also have someone turn the key and get under the truck and listen for the click you will be able to hear the starter click. If you hear it and your truck doesn't start than what is happening is it is engaging the spindle but not the gear.

Clutch goes to floor and stays

The trick to driving a manual transmission is giving gas very gently while letting the clutch up. The clutch only starts to engage when the pedal is about an inch and a half from the floor, so any gas you give before that will cause unecessary revving.
To get a feel for when the clutch engages, try the following excercise. Put the car in first gear and bring the clutch up ever so slowly without giving gas. At a certain point you will feel the clutch starting to engage and hear a difference in the sound of the engine. If you're bringing the clutch up too fast the car will stall. If you bring it up slowly enough the clutc will start to engage and you will begin to advance.
This excercise will develop your motor skill to manipulate the clutch effectively and will allow you to know exactly when to give gas when letting the clutch up.
