Srs air bag light flashing

This code is telling you of an ECS module fault. An ECS module fault could be caused by: - the internal accelerometer not operating properly. - the backup power supply not operating properly. - an internal module circuit fault detected. - a microcontroller RAM/ROM/EEPROM fault. Before doing any of the above, disconnect the vehicles battery and Remove the main connection off of the ECS and clean with electrical connection cleaner, then reinstall, then check the connectors and wires under the seats - these fail all the time. After checking and cleaning reconnect battery. If you need further help, reach me via phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/daniel_4061c3d97c12c4c7

Check engine light with code p1401

Recirculation (EGR) valve codes. The Differential Pressure Feedback EGR (DPFE) sensors on these vehicles have a high failure rate. Ford now uses a redesigned DPFE sensor. In effect, since the failure rate is so high, if you get this code, replace the sensor and retest. When the DPFE Sensor starts failing, it gives the PCM bad information. The DPFE Sensor is less sensitive, and the PCM thinks less recirculated gas is being burned than is actually so. Trying to compensate, the PCM opens up the actuator too much. This excessive amount of EGR combined with the air coming in via the throttle body leans out the fuel mixture, causing a lean misfire, which is the "stumble" or "hesitation" that is common as the DPFE Sensor fails. The DPFE sensor in the Focus is not very robust, requiring frequent (every 30k miles or sometimes less) replacement or a work around. Note that complete DPFE sensor failure is a very slow process, and the check engine light won't come on until the DPFE sensor is pretty much done for. If you're experencing stumble or hesitation while cruising, and think that it might be related to DPFE sensor failure. If the stumble goes away, then your DPFE sensor is more than likely failing. Of course, replacement of the bad DPFE sensor is the official recommended fix for this problem.

Remove it. Then drive the truck to see if it vibrates. If it don't forget it. If it does, replace the driveshaft. But get it off there before it breaks something.

98 Ford Ranger 4x4. shift arm has locked up. What does this mean?

Yes it could be frozen but that may not be a great thing with water getting into your gear box. Something to try is to use a heating tape to warm it up or a portable forced air propane heater to shoot under the truck for a while to thaw it out. Careful of the paint if you use this method though.

Can adding hydrogen peroxide to gas tank eliminate o2 sensor alarm

I wouldn't add anything like hydrogen peroxide to the gas tank, unless you want to destroy the engine. Why not replace the sensor?

1998 ford ranger anti theft was disabled years ago now today the light flashes and wont start

It wasn't really disabled. Either the key sensor was put in a place the receiver read it or the ECU was if default mode because of a bad wire. Either way , have the codes read and fix the problem. Keys can be bypassed with the right signal. ECU's can be put in default mode by cutting the right wire. eventually it comes back to haunt someone.

Code p0171 on 98 ford ranger

Well code 171 means the O2 sensor is telling the computer the fuel mixture is too lean and the computer can not make it go rich by increasing on time for the injectors. The problem could be the O2 sensor, or low fuel pressure, or several other factors.

Why does ford use coolant in the throttle body of 1998 ford ranger 2.5l fuel injection engine ?

they ran coolant lines to the throttle bodies for emission purposes the coolant actually is used to heat the air entering the intake manifold to help preheat your air fuel mixture so less hydrocarbons are made during the combustion cycle however this preheating reduces actual horsepower produced at the flywheel by as much as 10% according to many dyno tests, there really is no proof of any mileage gain or other benefit to this design add , on the older cars and trucks if you bypassed this you had to readjust your timing so you motor would not ping or get a detonation knock under acceleration

My Ford Ranger 2003 model V6 4 liter engine's speed limiter kicked in, the engine stuttered and died and won't start again. what is wrong?

Sounds like it's gone into limp mode at first. Then the fault has stopped the car. You need a code reader to check the fault, which will point you in the right direction. Could be a lot of things!
