I have a 1987 econoline motor home the tranny works in all forward gears but when put into reverse it feels like it nudges back a little then stops

Yes, that is typical response to a gear going out. Pretty old tranny, you will need a replacement, local salvage yards, or look at Car-Part.com for a used unit from all over, US salvagers list used parts on there..

How many fuel filter are on a ford f 8000 with a

I am going to guess that you have a 3208 cat in that truck. The fuel
filter could be either a single or duel setup, with a dual filter they
are usualy side by side(primary+secondary) and most often mounted with a bracket to the fire wall or frame. Connected to the
injector pump with braided hose. The single should be mounted
close to the pump. Also check the line back to the tank, if you have
dual tanks, go to the one with the standpipe or feed tank.(the one with the lines coming from the top of the tank) Somone may have
put in an inline filter. If this information is for repair and not maintenance, that engine has an electric fuel shutoff in case of
low oil pressure or overheat. I hope I was of some help.
Good luck.

Fuel pressure

Well most engines have a mechanical pump on the engine, but the E350 models used for motor homes and box vans also use an electric pump in the tank. The pressure rating is still 5-8 psi like the mechanical pumps. Have you replaced the inline filter ?

Where is the fuel pump in a 89 Shasta chevy 454 engine

Trace your fuel line up to engine, they should lead to straight to the pump. If the pump isn't mounted on the engine, usually lower part of block on drivers side, then it must be in the fuel tank itself. Being a 1989 model, its probably in the tank,

What size generator do I need?

You can find a manual most likely on ebay motors. As far as the alternator size it will be stamped on the body of the old one and most likely a part number as well.

How to get to the oil pan

The oil pan is the very bottom of the engine, you get to it from under the truck, you will need to jack the truck up and support it on safety jack stands before you can get enough clearance to inspect the oil pan.

Where does the long (30 inch) vacuum hose from the Air cleaner hook on?

You should be able to hear a sucking sound from where the line is supposed to go. Probably on the base of the carby. You can spray a little aero start around where you think the leak might be ie: carby. the aero start will be sucked into the open vacume port & the revs of the motor will change. Sorry I don't know exactly where it goes.
