Try getting a Slim Jim from your local Automotive Store to open your vehicle. My advice is that after you fix the problem, Get a duplicate key, save it on your wallet or get a magnetic holder to put your duplicate key and hide it in aplace you would only know.

some time you can do it by leaving the ignition on and there is a pressure vale on the engine fuel line. take the plastic cap off and push the pin down the pump should do the rest. pump only active for 30 seconds. don't start engine for at least an hour as when the fuel comes out it goes every were and make sure you don't get cover in it. if this is a recurring problem with running out of fuel fit a primer hand pump to the fuel line.

i have the same problem and my understanding is it is the transmission temp controle sensor located in the ****** pan.

You need fuel pressure at the motor on a gauge,when turning the key on & offYou need spark & injector pulse while crankingUntil you have that- the fuel pump only runs 3 seconds

If it finally starts after a lot of cranking, I'd have a look at the glow plugs. If they've not been changed since the truck was built, they've probably come to the end of their life.
