I have a VW Polo

If they went after a spark issue and that did not fix it, then you should test the spark sensor. I am certain you will find it to be bad.

Hi, do u know what can be the cause of rev counter

VWs are not well known to have idle issues however, a bad or stuck Idle Air Control valve, or a bad Mass Air Flow meter can cause this issue.

Golf 4 1.6 sr estate,

You need to replace the no.# 4 ignition coil!
Don't drive the car with this no.# 4 cylinder misfire, because the catalytic converter will be damaged by unburned petrol!
Just replace the no.# 4 ignition coil! That's all the job.

I have a 1.4 Chico

Ok........before replacing the thermostat, I would have run the car for 15-20 minutes, then turned the engine offf.......then feel the top and bottom radiator hoses.....if they are the same, and the fan did not come on, then this would be the fault........however, if the top was boiling hot and the bottom was cold this would indicate a faulty thermostat...........

Next step, as the thermostat is new.......run this test again and if the hoses are different temperatures, then this might indicate a blocked radiator......BUT more info required....is the temperature gauge going past half way ?????

My 1999 golf 4 1.6 se engine is bad, can i replace

It will fit physically, but would be fairly complicated as you would have to also replace all the harnesses and electronic conponents, and you might have an issue with emission laws in your state since the OBDII connector will provide different information than what is expected on inspection. IMO you should look for the same engine, it would make the swap much easier.

Car smells of petrol also

Lets start with the simple stuff first. Look under the car see if its leaking gas possibly from the gas tank or the gas line. Then with the car not running look around the engine compartment and see if you see any gas leaking. Also if the gas smell is stronger in the engine compartment. Look at your gas line especially toward the top of the engine you may spot the leak. I need to caution you if the leak is in the engine compartment and your handy and you can repair it that's excellent. But if you do spot the leak it might be very dangerous to drive the car somewhere. Gas leaks can be very hazardous if they are in the engine compartment. If your not handy then I would recommend you contact your local auto repair shop for repairs.

I hope this helps you out, if it does please give me a YES on the web page you just recieved my response on. Thank you.
