VW Jetta Carat 1989 spark plug firing order
1-3-4-2 The missing wire would be for the low oil pressure warning system. The #1 wire on the car is the one closest to the the engine, and the firing order goes 1-3-4-2 clockwise from that.
I need a relay chart, 1989 jetta 1.6L diesel.\r\n
You obviously have a bad connection and I would suggest the following:
Try to remove all relays(one at a time)and check/clean pins as necessary and refit.
If you still have the problem check and replace fuses if needed.

if the smoke is blue you may have an oil leak and if its not blue you may have another sort of leak
id suggest looking around for any fluids around the car or under the hood to see whats leaking and than fix it

1989 VW Jetta 5 speed, I just had the clutch
the problem is that the clutch disc is not moving freely on the transmission shaft,, there for keeping thrust applied and causing your problem. the other thing that can cause this is the slave cylinder needs to be bled open the bleeder while some one is applying pressure to the pedal this will let out the air then close it before your helper lets up the pedal. do this several times.if it is the clutch disc transmission will have to come down again.
1989 VW Jetta - The car is idling a little rough.
Check your engine coolant sensor. Problems with the Digifant system as fitted to your engine are mostly because of a bad earth cable on the top of the transmission and the coolant temp sensor. The sensor sits on the coolant flange. Follow your top radiator hose to the engine. Where it connects in the middle of the head on top of that flange is the coolant temp sensor. Replace that and you should be sorted.

No you can not eliminate that line. It is a fuel return line for unused fuel the computer returns back to the fuel tank. The computer senses the fuel pressure going to all injectors although the fuel pump can produce more fuel than the computer wants. That is the reason for the third line
