I'm not familiar with your car, but the distributor rotor should turn whenever the engine is cranked, if not check to make sure the rotor screw isn't missing (if it has one, some are held in with a spline instead), try spinning the rotor by hand if the rotor turns but not the shaft the rotor is broken, if the shaft spins the drive gear pin is sheared or the cam gear is shot.

you don't have to relieve fuel pressure if you had your vehicle sitting overnight ; if you're scared about fuel pressure, then follow the manaual by removing the fuel pump fuse and cranking the truck over a few times.
make sure you use new Fuel Injection hose clamps, not regular worm gear hose clamps
ok, the factory service manual linked doesn't really give you where it is; from google search
it's on the frame rail on the passenger side near rear tire area
there may be a fuel filter shield in the way, unbolt that first...to make it easier to handle the hose clamps
use penetrating oil at the bolts first so you won't break the bolts/ nuts if they're too rusty looking
the following video is for a 2003 model, but it should be similar
his description on that youtube link for changing it every 5k is OVERKILL! i changed my filter for a similar nissan van at 40K and it was still good; just did it for preventative-maintenance
I have a 2000 Nissan frontier it is stuck in drive even in park it seem like it is still in drive
Correct, the clip that holds the shifter linkage to the transmission fell off on my 2000 frontier due to rust. Before getting under truck block up wheels and engage emergency brake. I crept under the truck wearing saftey goggles because of loose rust and debris, from the passenger side and looked up and there is was, the linkage was separated from post on transmission. You can easily put linkage back on but you will need a clip to hold it in place, it is not unlike the clips on the door lock cams. Add the clip and you are good to go.
2000 Nissan frontier wont start...
If it's the timing belt you may have it a tooth or two out. Take the cover off and turn the engine till the timing marks are on and see if they are all on their marks. Sounds like you have it out of timing, If what you changed it the serpentine belt .... that's a different story. You may just have something unplugged you never put back.
Replace pilot shaft bushing 2000 3.3 liter nissan frontier
You'll need a special tool to get the bushing out and another to drive the new one back in. You;ll need to separate the transmission from the engine. It isn't necessary to remove the clutch from the flywheel to get at the bushing. The tool will remove the bushing with a wrench. The tool that us used to install the bushing is driven in with a hammer Mount the new bushing to the tool and tap it in the flywheel with the hammer. Since you didn't take the clutch off it'll be easy to mount the transmission back onto the engine.
How do I bypass a knock sensor on a 2000 Nissan frontier
The pcm uses the knock sensor to monitor for engine knocking, and adjusts ignition timing based on this. If there is no knock sensor present, you will wind up with a hard fault that will keep the check engine lamp on continuously. Also, the truck will go into a more conservative driving mode to prevent knocking.
The knock sensor for a frontier is not terribly expensive, but it is a pain to access on nissan v6s, under the intake manifold
