P2016 Intake Manifold Runner Position Sensor Switch Circuit Low Bank 1 P2014 - Intake Manifold Runner Position Sensor/Switch Circuit (Bank 1) The IMRC system is monitored for failure during continuous or KOEO self-test. Each DTC distinguishes the corresponding failed bank for IMRC actuator assemblies with dual monitor switches. The test fails when the signal on the monitor pin is outside an expected calibrated range. This DTC replaces P1516.

Should I add XL11 trans fluid additive/friction modifier to my fluid when I replace my solenoid pack with the latest design?

Have a good Auto transmission repairer give the box a service and this should fix your problem. Do not put additives into oil as if they were required Shell Mobil Caltex BP Castrol and all other manufacturere would have put the additive in when ther were refining the oil

Is the car radio accessory switched 12v + wire the wire I connect my steering wheel controls wire from my knew radio to?

Depends on the set up. It will supply 12v power to any accessory connected to it when the radio is turned on. By accessory, I mean : powered amplifiers with relays, motorized antennas, additional audio components. Most likely it is to power an external amplifier or sub woofer.

2004 Ford Explorer ABS light stays on and 4X4 HIGH light blinks

The abs and the 4x4 should not be related. The grinding rubbing noise that you describe when you turn is consistant with the way your car would behave turning on dry pavement when the 4x4 is engaged. You very well could have a sensor problem, but it sounds like (from your description of the problem), that there is more than 1 issue. And yes, often a sensor replacement simply requires unplugging and unmounting then reversing the process. Auto Zone or Advance can sell you the part, but have them check the codes to confirm that diagnosis...(They will do that for free), they can show you how the sensor attaches and the location of the part. The 4x4 could be a selenoid or sensor related issue as well. When you go in, tell them about the 4x4 and be on the lookout for related code faults for that problem. Explorers and Sport Trac models with the push button 4x4 have a history of issues with the unit that mounts on the transfer case. Good Luck! I hope you find this to be very helpful!

Power windows do not work. fuse is fine

If all of the windows do not work and the fuse is fine, the problem is either the window switch on the drivers door or the wire is bad that provides power. Remove the door panel and meter the switch, if you get power to the switch but not through the switch the problem is the switch. If you are not getting power to the switch you know you have a wiring problem.

If I swap the Alarm Lock Anti-Theft Module on my 04 Explorer, do I have to take it to the dealer for reprogramming? Can I do it myself?

Hi Paul, Im AL the owner of Big As Auto Repair Paul, please take this word of caution, if you swap a theft module from another vehicle to yours it could render all the other module useless and you my have to replace all the modules it affected. For your question about you doing it yourself, unless you have a very expensive scan tool that allows you to program the PIN # into the module its best you take it to the dealer. Hope this helps and please visit my auto-repair website and check out my satisfied customers testimonials and give me a shout while your there. http://www.bigasautorepair.com/
