In the thermostat housing at the rear of the engine. There are two, one for the gauge and one for the PCM .

Most defiantly could be a bad heat sensor, I have had a bad one out of the box..It would tell the computer it's hot even if you can test that it's not. The computer would tell the AC to shut down to keep the engine from overheating. Maybe ECM or ground..Good Luck

Cranking is allowed in neutral and in park. The transmission has a maybe a small plastic module on it with the two switches inside. Look for wires connecting somewhere on the tranny, one wire could be broken. Alternatively the module may be misaligned or just worn out. Check that it is tightly mounted to the tranny, (not loose), check that it isn\'t obviously broken. It could also just be broken.

Take it to the dealer they should install a safty lock on the fuel line to prevent this good chance if they are a good dealed they will do it as a recall or coustmer satifaction program.
