Engine swap
It's ******* to put an old engine into a newer vehicle. You can do it the other way around, but not this way. Chances are it won't have places for all the sensors.

Check that the battery cable ends (where the wire goes into the clamp) are clean with no corrosion, and that the other end of those cables are securely connected - especially where the ground cable connects. Also check any ground strap that connects the engine with the frame or body.
I have a F-150 99 with a code of P1131... Is it
The P1131 means that your upstream oxygen sensor (the one closest to the engine) is not switching rich to lean and back as frequently as it should. This could be due to a vacuum leak, a failing oxygen sensor, or a rich fuel mixture.
Rich mixture - Too much fuel, not enough air.
Lean mixture - Too much air not enough fuel.
Running rough
I would check sparkplugs, plug wires, vacuum hoses to map sensor, check to see if exhaust is strong out pipe, may be a catalytic convertor stopped up , bad O2 sensor will cause starting and idling problems.

This truck has spark plug wiring. Have you REPLACED all spark plugs and wires with new? Have you cleaned the MAF sensor? don-ohio
My altnator shorted out apower lost inside cab
Disconnect alternator and replace blown power fuse and see if it is the actual alternator short or harness related. Always check your ground wire for corroision. Ground wires cause resistance problems and cause premature failures of electrical components.
