Where does a person with a car trunk leak go to

Simply go to a good body shop. The best will be family owned and are proud of their work. Most likely you will need a gasket of some kind any possibly some welding. Look in your yellow pages under auto body work or body shop. Thanks for using Fixya.

Can' can't get it out of park 1998 frod taurus

Push the brake pedal and have someone see if you have brake lights. If you don't replace the brake switch. It is on the brake pedal under the dash. This will fix both problems. After that you have to replace the shifter. Because you cant buy the unlock solenoid with out the shifter.

Replace turn signal on 98 taurus

Well, it's not really clear what the problem is with your turn signals. If they just aren't flashing, there's a good chance it's caused by one of three things... Either the flasher its self has gone bad, or on most vehicles, if one of the turn signal bulbs have burned out, the signals won't work on that side. Lastly, the simplest cause... The turn signal fuse! The flasher relay can usually be found either plugged into the fuse block or under the dash on the driver's side. It's usually silver or yellow and is about 1 1/2" round and about 1 1/2" high with two prongs. Just unplug the old one and plug in the new. Good luck and Happy New Year, Bill

After replacing my battery in my 1998 ford taurus the horn continually blares. I have tried putting the key in the ignition and turning it to on, horn keeps blaring and car won't stop. Also

Your horn relay may be shorting out, making your horn operate all the time. Have a look at your relays. You might find the horn relay is the same as another relay, If it is, try swapping relays with a known good one, and see if the horn operates normally. If so, get a new relay. Good-Day!

If you have just had the pump replaced then take it back as it is obviously faulty or the pump has been connected up wrong. It is the responsibility of the shop that did the job to get it right or refund any money .

No heat air is blowing cold

First you have to identify what causes the problem.
To do this you have to:
1) When engine is cold check the level of coolant. If it is low fill it up.
2) Start engine and check if engine reaches regular temperature. If your engine is not heated enough it means your thermostat does not work properly and should be replaced.
3) If engine temperature is normal, then check the temperature of pipes that go to/from heater core. These pipes are located up the fire wall (easier access is from the passenger side). If pipe/pipes are cold (even engine is worm) it means you heater core is plugged and should be flushed. Keep in mind, flushing the whole cooling system is different from flushing heater core.
4) If pipe/pipes are hot/warm, turn off the fan, switch controller to the hot position, wait for 3-4 minutes and turn on the fan. Note if the cold air blows first or warm air blows first but it cools down in 5-10 seconds. If the air blows cold than it is most probably the problem with blend door or blend door actuator.
5) If air blows warm first and then cools down, then while running engine and remaining the transmission in PARKING position, press on the gas pedal until your engine reaches 3,000 RPM. Check if your heater blows warm/hot air. If it does, then your water pump does not work properly and should be replaced. If the air still cold, I would suggest to flush the heater core.

1998 Ford Taurus, heater won't blow hot air

common problem is the water resivor cracks up at the bottom... it appears that your water level is fine because the car doesnt over heat but i am willing to bet that resivor doesnt have water to the top. The radiator will hold just enough water to keep it cool. I replaced mine 3 times the sulution is doing to sound weird but go to the junk yard and get one off a murcury sable. dont know why but the sables res doesnt crack like that

I have a new power steering pump. should i also replace the filter?

There is no filter for the power steering. That car has Variable Assist Power Steering (VAPS). Make sure the pump is really the part you need before installing. There are a lot more components to that steering system that could cause problems. Could be pressure switch or control valve. I don't know what your symptoms are but, you should have someone look at it that is familiar with that system and able to properly diagnose the problem before you start changing parts.
