Three answers I can give one shift cable going from shifter to trans is broken at the end That connects two the coulm there not real cheap saying that I have been in the coulm of at lest 20 of them from 97 thru 2006 same problem 20 + more were broke were that end of the cable connects to the column in witch the column had to be replaced

When they cut the cat out they may have damaged the wiring that goes to your fuel pump.When you turn the key on (not cranking) you should hear the fuel pump turn on for 1/2 second.That is the prime sequence. If you don't hear the pump run,check around where they cut out the cat.Chances are you will find cut wires. Any car/truck will run without a cat..but it will be loud!

indicates a problem in the harness to the rear harness cut wires , incorrect additions to harness possibly along the chassis or under body

I would suggest not the upper section is bolted by 4 bolts to the dash frame and there is a clamp on a spline section for the shaft that goes through the fire wall removing the wire harness connections , undoing the clamp and the 4 mounting bolts and the wheel section should pull of the splined section remember to remove the ignition key barrel and switch to put on the replacement unit or you will have immobilizer reprogramming problems

If there is a problem with the 3-4 solenoid then a check engine light would be on or the OD light would be flashing. Read the faultcodes and see what is there.

Do you have access to an ohmmeter? If so, can you read resistance to ground on the input wire of your DISCONNECTED temp. gauge?

Have you thought about flushing the transmission fluid cooler?

What makes you think fuel pump fuse is bad or the reset switch ? ( inertia fuel cut off switch ) Did you test for B+ volt or are you guessing ? Buy yourself DVOM - digital volt ohm meter an test the fuel pump electrical circuit ! Besides fuel there is also an ignition system , is there spark ? Norman, The ABS light is telling you there is a fault in the Anti Lock Braking system, could be faulty wire/plug,sensor, leaking/stuck wheel cylinder/caliper, etc. The computer in your vehicle will have to be scanned to find the fault, diagnosed and estimate repair. Cylinder Head Temperature (CHT) Sensor -4.6L and 5.4L Removal

1. Remove the intake manifold; refer to Section 303-01B .

1. Remove the cylinder head temperature (CHT) sensor.
   1. Disconnect the connector.
   1. Remove the CHT sensor.

Many possible reasons for this, if it only happens when you brake it limits the problem a little. If this is the case your front brake discs are probably warped, either replace them or have the ones fitted skimmed. I understand that the cost is similar so better to replace with new discs

The switch on the steering column, clean very carefully or replace. Is there a chance both headlights are bad?

Screws into the base of the housing just above where the oil filter goes on. You can identify it by the wire going to it.

The firing order is usually stamped on the intake manifold area. However, the 4.6 and 5.4 are the same.13726548

Most likely a bad ignition module in that era, need a 5.5mm thin wall socket to replace it. Can also be Pick-up in Distributor going bad.

Most belt diagrams are on the crossbar where the hood latches.

Replace the light switch in the dash. They get hot and melt.

Hi Larry I do not know the this model of vehicle. However from my experience the most common reason for the windows not going down is the override switch has been accidentally switched off (I assume there is an off switch adjacent to the controls on the drivers side). You would be amazed the number people requesting fixes of power windows with this condition, a very simple and cheap fix. Regards Jacko from down under
