Leaking from the front of bellhouseing

Gday mate, geoff here, there are 3 things that can leak there, 1st is coolant as there should be a freeze plug at the back of each cylinder bank in there.2nd engine oil as there is a seal on the crankshaft and a plug at the back of the Cam tunnel, mostly if its engine oil it will be the crank seal.3rd is gear/transmission oil, front seal on the gearbox if that is the case, also make sure that the oil isn't coming from the top and leaking down to look like its the bell housing leaking, as the valley cover and rocker covers extend back to just above the bell housing, hope this helps, geoff.

Washer pump relay location on 97 f250

I have a 97 F250 5.8L Extended cab truck. The washer pump relay is inside of the passenger compartment to the right of the gloove box. If you spring the two top releases of the gloove box so it drops down and out of the way, you will see the cpu (brain) towards the right center held in by two screws. Remove the screws but do not disconnect. Pull the cpu out of the way to the left. In the left corner of the compartment, left of where the cpu was, you will see a black box with electrical connections on the bottom. There are plastic spring tabs on the bottom, which if you release them, I believe the box will slide apart, revealing the plug in relay. I'm still trying to get the box apart, but I know the relay is in there. If you push the washer button, you can hear the relay click inside, and it is not controlling the wiper motor.

Almost certainly a fuse problem. Check out the user manual for headlight fuses. Cost only a few cents each. Be careful to always replace a fuse with the same value fuse.

Flushing my F250 super duty automatic transmission

my personal opinion, take it to the shop and let them do it. they have flush machines that run transmission fluid through your trans until it is clean, there is no good way to do it at home. the closest you can get is to remove the trans pan and replace the filter but that doesnt flush your torque converter

I have a 1997 Ford

Hi, use an ohmmeter to check the speed sensor at the rear differential. If the sensor checks out, the problem may be the wiring. Trace the wires up to the engine compartment inspecting for damage. If you don't find the problem or need repair advice, please get back to me.

TESTING
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Disengage the wiring harness connector from the VSS.
  3. Using a Digital Volt-Ohmmeter (DVOM), measure the resistance (ohmmeter function) between the sensor terminals. If the resistance is 190-250 ohms, the sensor is okay.

REMOVAL & INSTALLATION

  3. Detach the connector for the VSS.
  4. Remove the VSS retaining bolt and remove the VSS from the differential.
  5. Remove the driven gear retainer and the drive gear.

To install:

  6. Lower the vehicle.
