My Check Engine Light came on and it is Code P1405 which is the Differential Pressure Feedback Sensor Upstream Hose Off or Plugged. Can you tell me how to fix this problem - can't find the Hose.
Check the hoses to the DPFE sensor from the exhaust pipe, the sensor is near the EGR valve, if the hoses are ok then replace the sensor, careful not to tear the special heat resistant silicone rubber hoses, they are about $10 each and ordinary rubber hose will burn up.

Ignition key broken in ignition switch that has gone bad over a period of time. How do you replace the ignition switch???? What tools do I need, if any and what about the possibility of the airbag in the steering wheel deploying?
Follow these steps carefully. this will help you achieve this replacement.
Disconnect
the negative battery cable from the terminal on the battery. Remove the
upper and lower steering column covers by unscrewing them.
Remove
the steering wheel by lifting off the center cover, disconnecting the
horn wire and removing the retaining nut and washer. Make a mark on the
steering wheel spline and the wheel itself so you can line it back up
precisely. Pull the steering wheel straight back to remove from the
shaft.
Take
off windshield wiper and turn signal switches by pulling them off as
you did the steering wheel and disconnect the wiring. Slide the spacer
sleeve off of the steering column.
Unscrew
the ignition switch mounting screws. Pull out the ignition switch.
Disconnect the wiring connector from back of the ignition switch.
Simply loosen the tabs and pull it out.
Insert
your key into the ignition. Turn the ignition switch to the locked
position. Depress the retaining pin with a small screwdriver and turn
the key to the Off position to free the cylinder. Once it is free, turn
the key to lock position and remove the key and key cylinder.
Install
your old key cylinder into the new ignition switch assembly. Make sure
the contacts in the cylinder and assembly line up. Reattach wiring to
ignition switch, slide it into place, screw in mounting screws and
reassemble steering wheel and switches.

what would cause my 96 gt to crank but not start?? i get no fuel pressure under the hood nor do i get 12 volts to the pump, i have changed the fuel pump and the CCRM (the box inside the right front fender) and still nothing... it quit starting after having a battery charger hooked up, thinkin this had something to do with it, any suggestions??
This sounds like a fuel pump relay.Since it cranks, that means everything input to the PCM is good. These are start relay, start solenoid, starter, ignition switch and brake safety switch. The direct output are the fuel pump relay and a relay called an auto shut down relay, which is directly activated by the fuel pump relay to power the coil and injectors.Since the 2 relays are obviously the cheapest, take a reading at both. Some makers do not have a shut down relay but I think those are mainly Chevy. The CCRM,I am not sure what that stands for.As for the battery charger,I would need to know a little more about the situation. If you drained your battery trying to start your car but wouldn't,they are not likely related. As for the fuel pump,I wish you would have researched a little more because I know it is expensive and a pain in the a** to change.Relays go bad more often although 2 years I changed my pump on my 1995 Ford Escort.Wht I'm trying to get t is to try starting with cheaper fixes first, then you won't feel so bad if it doesn't fix. :( Just a suggestion but I have been doing repairs for years and have a system worked out due to experience.Relays are the most common fail items too,as well as switches, bulbs, and many other components but if you notice, most of these items are relatively cheap. If you have any questions or need more help, just comment here and I will get an autolink to your post and reply ASAP.Good luck,Greg

where are all the freeze plug located on 4.6 w/auto. is there one between the block & transmission
Yes, there are expansion plugs (freeze plugs) on both sides of the engine block and at the rear of the engine block between the engine and transmission. There are also a couple in the ends of the cylinder heads.
With all that said, I would like to add that many times with that engine, the heater tube and connecting hoses can leak and be mistaken for a rear expansion plug leaking. I would definately check this before pulling the transmission out.
There is a tube that runs from the back of the water pump under the intake manifold and out the rear of the engine where it hooks up to the heater hose/heater core. This tube has a small hose connecting it to the back of the water pump. There is also a hole in the back of the engine block that will allow antifreeze from under the intake manifold to leak into the transmission bell housing area. When this tube or hose leaks, it often gets mistaken for a leaking rear expansion plug.
It is very easy to check for this. Remove the serpentine belt and remove the alternator and look under the intake manifold down in the "valley" between the cylinder heads. If there is antifreeze in there, the hose or the tube is leaking. Look at the picture below. Item #3 is the tube and hose assembly I am talking about. Usually, just the hose is leaking. It should be replaced with a short piece of SILICONE heater hose. On some of the vehicles, there are 2 hose clamps. On others, the end of the hose that is attached to the tube has a crimped collar on it. If yours is like this, you can fix it by carefully cutting the crimp collar off and replacing the hose using band clamps. (screw-type)
Also look for antifreeze leaking into this area from the front intake manifold runner. They tend to leak on the front runner near where the thermostat housing is located. These will also leak into the valley area and run out the back of the engine. If the manifold is leaking, chances are it is warped. DORMAN makes a replacement intake manifold kit just for this purpose because it has been so common. It is also very easy to check for this with the alternator removed.
The DORMAN part number for your vehicle is 615-178 (See second picture below)
