How do i shut off
I'm looking at a picture which I don't have any way to send to you so I'll describe as best I can. Standing in front of the truck, the injector pump is just to the right of a rad hose. I can se what appears to be throttle cable and linkage on the left side of the pump and a fuel line going into the center of the pump. On the immeciate right side of that fuel line are 2 electrical fittings mounted front to back. The front one, which seems to have 2 wires in this photo, is the fuel shut-off solenoid. There is nothing to tell me what the back one is and there is nothing to tell me what the electrical plug-in on the front of the pump to the left of the fuel line is either.
Failing this simply pinch of the fuel return line. This will stop the engine. Hope this helps.
Start but will not run
If it has a barberator try putting some gas into the carberator after you take the cover and filter off
Fuel tanks won't switch
the switch itself may be bad. try rocking it a little back so its not resting at max position. I had the same issue with my f250 and this worked so I replaced it and everythings fine.
I need a detailed schematic of a 1990 ford f250 steering wheel column that includes directions for disassembly and reassembly
Go back to the dealer ,chat the storeman up nicely and he will print you off the parts picture so you some idea where it goes ,this vehicle is so oil that nothing is complicated about this motor as i repaired a 350 1989 model last week and apart from getting the plugs out after they had been in for 15 yrs their was nothing i found difficult ,just big and heavy with its twin rear wheels and a complete brake rebuild as well .Still think a ford transit diesel is a better motor though because at our fuel prices here in europe ? need i say more
Has fuel won't start
Older Vehicle i am Not sure but if its carbureted then check ur floats. If its getting fuel to the Injectors/Carburetor then its electric! Check For Spark or Mani fold air Leak by spraying starting fluid on the manifold & Carb. if it kicks then u no the problem lies around there. if no luck then its either bad compression or Spark issue.. New Plugs ? Coils ? Check for spark if its getting Fuel. Hope This Helps :)
