Is there such a part

Yes there is such a thing as a transmission oil pump. It will be connected to the input shaft from the torque converter so the trans will have to come out and be disassembled to change it. If you are unfamiliar with automatic transmision overhaul it might be best to take it to a shop or get a used one from a scrapyard. Reputable yards will give you some warranty, usually 30-60 days on a used part. It won't be particularly easy to do. Hope this helps.

How do i replace crankshaft seal on 1993 dodge

The oil pump assembly is mounted on the timing belt end of the engine block with the inner pump rotor indexed and installed on the crankshaft nose. The oil pump case also retains the crankshaft front oil seal and provides oil pan front end closure.Disconnect the negative battery cable. Remove the dipstick.
  1. Raise the vehicle and support safely on jackstands.
Remove the crankshaft balancer and sprocket from the crankshaft.
  1. Drain the engine oil and remove the oil pan from the engine
  2. Remove the oil pick-up from the oil pump case.
  3. Remove the oil pump mounting bolts and remove the pump from the front of the engine. Note the different length bolts and their positions in the pump for installation.
  4. Use a small prytool to pry the old oil seal out of the oil pump case. Make certain not to scratch or damage the oil seal mounting surfaces.

To install:

  1. Clean the gasket mounting surfaces of the pump and engine block.
  2. Prime the pump by soaking its components with fresh oil and turning the rotors or, using petroleum jelly, pack the inside of the oil pump. Using a new gasket, install the oil pump on the engine and torque all bolts to 10 ft. lbs. (13 Nm).
  3. Using the front crankshaft oil seal installer special tool MB998306 or equivalent, install the new oil seal in the oil pump.
  4. Install the balancer and crankshaft sprocket to the end of the crankshaft.
  5. Install the oil pump pick-up and oil pan as described earlier in this section.
  6. Install the timing belt and all related parts.
  7. Lower the vehicle.
  8. Install the dipstick. Fill the engine with the proper amount of oil.

Trouble codes for 1993 Dodge Daytona with 3.0 liter

CODE 12
Trouble Code 12 is a special case code that is not logged into the ECM's Non-Volatile Memory (NVM) when detected. When the ignition is "ON" and the ECM detects no ignition reference pulses coming from the ignition module, it illuminates the Service Engine Soon lamp.
CODE 22
Trouble Code 22 indicates that the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) is reading abnormally low. TPS volts should be close to 0.42 V at closed throttle and rise smoothly in about 0.02 volt increments to a maximum reading of about 4.85 volts at WOT
CODE 35
Trouble Code 35 is not used in the Turbo cars. If this code appears while a computer is connected to the ALDL connector, it is probably the result of a bad cable connection at the PC or the ALDL connector. Reseat the cable connections.

Spray some brake cleaner in the throttle body to see if it will start. You may have a bad fuel pump/

If this doesnt help this car has a crank sensor, ignition module, and a coil that could be bad. You may also have a fuel pump fuse and a ignition fuse. Check them all to make sure noneare popped.

You may need to get it diagnosed to replace the correct part rather than just throwing parts at it.

96 dodge daytona. Starts fine at first then as

hi, this is a common problem and only points at one thing being at fault, the problem you are having is going to be with the oxygen sensor(or lambda sensor for its true name)
Now the reason it points to this is that when the car is cold the oxygen sensor isnt working as it only starts working when it reaches a certain temperature and this is when your getting the problem then whilst the car is still hot it just wont start but as soon as it cools down you will find it starts as normal.

Replacing this part will solve your problem.

Let me know how you get on or if you need further assistance ok

Where is the crank sensor located in an 89 Dodge Daytona

The info I looked at was for 2.5L engine, non-turbo. If you have distributor, you don't have one. You may have a sensor inside distributor. Because the distributor usually works off the cam shaft, they don't call it a crank sensor. Now, if you have a coil pack, you do have a crank sensor, some I've seen are on the tranny bell-housing. Or at the cranks shaft pulley in the front. I did look at online partsbook for the engine I listed, no crank sensor listed.

1986 dodge daytona smokes a lot

Hi Michael, I'm glad to help! When a vehicle starts to smoke, and I'm assuming you talking from the tailpipe. Its alway because there are worn parts, these parts could be anything from: Valve seals, Rings, PCV could be stop up, also on older model like yours, provided it has an auto-trans could be the modulator. This is a round cylinder looking object with a vacuum hose running to it which is attached to the side of the transmission. When it goes bad it will allow trans fluid to slip through it and it runs into the Intake Manifold and smokes out the tailpipe. As you see there are a lot of things that can cause an engine to smoke. You can check the rings by doing a "Cylinder Leak Down Test". The modulator, check it by simply unhooking the vacuum hose and if fluid runs out of the hose then replace the vacuum modulator NOTE: Provided it has a modulator. If both of these are OK, I suggest replacing the valve seals. Hope this helps and have an awesome day Michael.
