1991 dodge ramcharger 318 engine stalls driving down road. shut key off for a few seconds starts right back up and runs fine. any ideas?

It's losing one of two things - fuel or electricity. I would check and or replace the fuel pump and fuel filter first.

My 1991 dodge ramcharger will

compare the voltage at the back of the alternator (large post) to the voltage at the battery, when sitting while engine off and running-the readings should be identical. If not, you have a wiring problem or if that is ruled out, the ECM is the issue. You should get readings of 12.5+ volts after sitting overnight, and close to 15 volts when first started, gradually dropping down to about 14.2 volts, at BOTH locations.

My 1991 dodge ramcharger idles

sounds to me like you have a leak in the intake or a vac line came loose or broken from the intake. if you dont see anything visually then take some carb and choke cleaner and spray around the throttle body and anywhere there is a gasket ,if your idle goes down then you have found your leak.. you can replace the gasket or for a quick fix you can get some gasket maker and lay you a bead where the leak is and this will give you a temp fix..

1991 dodge ram 250 5.9

we had the same thing happen. After jacking the front end of the truck up and cracking the supply and return lines at the steering box . Let idle for 2-3 min or until fluid starts to seep out of fittings. It appears that it was air locked some were. It seems like the steering is getting better as the air works its way out of the system. O don't for get to retighten the fittings again. Good luck.

1991 ramcharger will not charge

Check all ground connections from battery to engine, battery to body/frame and motor to frame/body ground strap for corossion. THe fasteners can corrode underneath and cause all kinds of problems.

My 91 ramcharger turns over, but won't start. I

have you checked the fuel pump? If its a bad fuel pump it wil crank and crank but never start. turn the key on but dont start it and listen for a hum by the fuel tank. If you hear nothing the pump is bad.

10amp fuse keeps popping

check each of the terminals of those bulb you mentioned. wonder if there's a relay associated to this circuit, check for short if this is the case. remove all the light bulbs [of course - the dash may not be necessary (it's a PITA) & let's hope that it's not the culprit]. visually inspect those bulbs & replace if something unusual. put back the relay if it has no short, turn on the switch, let's hope the dash lights up & it won't blow the fuse anymore, otherwise look for uninsulated wire touching the chasssis or ay metal part of the car. you may continue replacin the bulbs.
