Transmission sticking in 1987 dodge
Yes, have someone drain all fluid and change trans. fluid and clean trans. filter screen its probably over 50% plugged. i had same problem. wasn't shifting properly and sometimes wouldn't shift into high gear causing loss of fuel mileage on highway and running at higher rpm then it should The filter is metal i believe and can be cleaned out. whatever the shop recomends. anyway took care of the problem. That was at Tires Plus for me.

I NEED AN BELT DIAGRAM FOR AN 87 DODGE DIPLOMAT
this has a fairly easy fix. that vehicle has several belts as it does not have a serpentine belt it requires 2-3 depending on features. call the local parts store and request the belts for all your accessories,, you will NEED alternator, water pump /fan belt. as these belts fit from the crank to the accessory there is not defined path, for example from the crank to the alternator. also you will need 2 belts for the A/C compressor, as i remember it.

All the lights will come on but wont start or turn
Can you hear the starter solenoid clicking when you try to start? If not, the problem is likely a worn out ignition switch. If you hear clicking, check for 12.6 volts at the starter motor terminal when trying to start. If you get voltage, the motor itself is dead--probably bad brushes inside the case. Most people just replace the starter with a rebuilt one. Hope this helps!

How to change the starter on an 87 dodge diplomat
Disconnect the battery negative terminal. Remove the one large and one small wires from the starter. Starter is secured to transmission with one bolt and one nut/lockwasher. I think they are 9/16" fasteners.

I just bought a 1973
you should pick up a manual for your car as it will have the information you will need and diagrams for other work you would like to do to it.
1970 Dodge Dart 225 Slant
The carburetor spits when its flooded - so something must be wrong inside it. Since this is the second time it has stalled when turning left it appears that the level in the bowl is higher than it should so the mixture is way richer : turning left pushes the fuel to the left in the bowl, making the momentary level even higher over the jets so the mixture gets so rich that it can't be lighted anymore so the engine stalls.
You will have to dismantle the carburetor, check the float for leaks and readjust it before reassembling it. While you are there check the size of the jets, they might be larger than normal.
