odd,dodge used to run everything thru the ammeter,thinking it would be electronic in 06 but,just my only thought!

sounds like it needs a new high pressure switch for ac,thats what tells the fan to kick in,if the switch was working but stays open the fan would always stay on even if ac was of

sound like the clutch is slipping on first gear...only way to fix this is a new clutch

the switch on the driver's side might be bad
