2001 Dodge Ram 1500 Truck 2WD - Page 5 Questions & Answers
Brake light on,
Bleeding brakes can be done by the average person. Be warned the vehicle must be supported properly. If not, you could be seriously injured or killed. With the warning given I'll explain how I bleed the brakes. With the truck properly supported,go to the right rear brake valve and loosen it a little. Have another person pump the brake pedal and then hold the pressure on it. Loosen the valve a little more until fluid comes out. Next go to the drives side then do the same. Drivers rear, finally the passenger front is done. Add more fluil to the master cylinder. Good luck.

How do you pressure test a truck radiator
theres a tool you buy ,it has a cap with a hose and gauge attached, you can use it to check the whole cooling system or if you take the radiator hoses off and plug the open ends of the radiator you can check just the radiator by it's self.but leaving it all hooked together is best,it will be full of coolant and easier to spot the leak
Eng. icon came on idle and runs rough no power
First, have codes read to narrow possible causes. clean Idle air control valve or replace. TPS failure or "dead spots" send wrong signals to ECM. A blocked cat., low fuel or pressure, O2 sensor bad, sparkplug and wires faulty are some of many reasons.
Where is relay fuse location for turn signals
If you are looking for the main relay for turn signals, you want to pop your hood open and look to the (most often) driver's fender fender, you will see a black/grey plastic box behind your battery, pop the top off and have look at the underside of the cover, you will see a diagram to which relay you want to inspect.
Truck doesn't heat while idling
Could be low on antifreeze. The heater core is the highest spot in the cooling system and it may develop an air pocket. Another possibility is the thermostat is stuck partially open and doesn't let the engine warm correctly, watch your temp gauge on the dash and see if it comes up to the middle like it should while idling. If it doesn't, it may need replacement.
