Code 12 is for: No Distributor Signal to Electronic Control Module
Code 45 is for: Rich Exhaust Indicated. ( On the left side if you have two O2 sensors ).
Pulled hood release and it
it will be difficult to gain access to the hood release latch but you can get to it.you need to find were cable connects to the latch arm either through the grill or under the car looking up at the latch.then you will have to get something that you can use to get to the release arm to move it in the correct direction to unlatch the hood to open.you will need alot of patience for this.good luck.
My 1981 dodge p/u sits
Try adjusting the idle/air screw on the carb. With the engine off, turn the screw gently to the right until it bottoms out. Don't screw to tight, it will ruin the seat. Turn it out 2 full turns and start the car. After revving the engine a couple of times,let it settle down to an idle. after it warms up, screw it in or out until you get the highest idle speed. If that doesn't do it, you will need to rebuild the carb.
