1990 Dodge D150 - Page 6 Questions & Answers
Why des my 1983 Dodge Ram d150 truck stalls after 3 minutes
alot of times as parts heat up the metal in the part expands...this is with any metal structure...buildings bridges etc...many moving parts inside your vehicle account for this expansion and contraction with clearances...with that said it could be as simple as a good carb clean...inside the carbuerator is ports or the proper term jets that at certain RPMs different jets are activated...my suggestion would be at worst scenario your due for a good carb cleaning :) get in there and scrub her up good.
1992 Dodge Truck Horn not working
Check fuses. Find horn andf see if when u push horn button if u have power. Or use a power probe and put power to the horn see if it makes noise. Also try a new horn.
Why would the main in-line fuse keep blowing on a 1984 Dodge with slant 6 engine?
You have a short somewhere. Disconnect the positive terminal on the battery and check for continuity with an ohms meter. Take the blown fuse out and check the same on both sides of the fuse receptor. If you hold one side to a ground and touch the other side to a positive terminal, you will get an ohms reading if there is a short. If no short, the ohms meter will do nothing.
Bottom of intake has a hole in the bottom of it , would that make it pop in the carb ?
You don't say what year, make, or model of vehicle you are asking about. This makes answering difficult. BUT, there should NEVER be a hole in the bottom of an intake. This will cause a reduction in engine vacuum,. introduce dirt and grit into the engine, and cause poor fuel economy and poor engine performance. Get the intake problem fixed and you are well on your way to a better performing vehicle.
