Headlights will not open or close on my 88

Hello
This problem is more than likely the headlight door relay module, the relay is located in the top center of the dash where a speaker would be.
If the headlights do not come on as well as the door don't open then the problem may be the headlight switch, it controls the headlights and the ground side of the relay closing coil. The relay should be fairly cheap. The headlight switch is very cheap as well, to replace it you reach behind the switch and press the silver button at the rear top of the switch, at the same time pull the knob out, once the knob and shaft are out just remove the male threaded nut that secures the switch to the dash panel. Also make sure you like for heat damage to the wires in the connector to the switch, all the terminals should be bright metal, if they are discolored the connector must be replaced with a repair connector. See picture of switch below.

What are the compute codes 24 and 34 on a 1988

Hello
Welcome
Code 24 is Throttle Position Sensor,

This is locared on the right side of the throtle body accross from the throtle linkage there is 2 torx screws holding in place and one wire end to disconect install reverse from instructions

code 34 Speed Control Servo Circuit. No check engine light will post.
Your cruse control servo is not turning on and off like it should.
I would do the tps first then disconect the batery for 5 minn then re check the car for codes, the tps might be messing with the speed control servo.
Let me know if i can help more!

I have a 1988 dodge daytona 2.2l turbo w/o

If the engine was ran that much after overheating, you probably warped the head.

The crank sensor may also have been damaged by heat and need to be replaced. Check the spark plugs as well for cracked insulators or worn (read melted) tips.

No heat

It is located between the heater core and the cold air duct requires removing the air box to get to and can be hard to do it. Buy aa manual so you can see exactly how to remove it to save you time and trouble.

Tail lights and dash lights out in dodge dayton

If dash lights out that module tells you that the tail lights are out so the most common problem is the light bulbs shorting out, there are two bulbs, a 1157 which is brake and tail light an the 1156 which is a single element. Check that the bulbs ends are not flat and touching and check that the spring in the socket is wore out or the button on the inside of the bulb is not bad. If these are ok then it will be your Light switch. to take the switch off you must reach up under the dash and push button on top of switch then pull out knob and shaft and remove beauty ring by unscrewing counter clock wise. Hope this helps.

My car starts but cuts

Have you tried cycling key for fault codes? Turn ignition to on (not start) then off, then on, then off, then on, leave it on, and count flashes of check engine light.
flash, flash, pause, flash flash, is code 22. 3 flashes, pause, then 5 flashes, would be code 35, etc. See what you get, & get back to us with them if you need more help.

Engine just shuts off at 4 grand.

Well, I can tell you that your computer has been flashed or replaced with a flashed unit. That switch switches between maps and would be my first suspect. I suggest you get another stock computer. You can find them cheap at a junk yard or at one of a couple online message boards like turbododge.com or turbomopar.com.
