99 ram with 5.2 wont start, good fuel pressure on rail, good spark. no engine codes any ideas

You have fuel pressure but is the fuel being injected? Do this, get a can of spray starting fluid from the parts store or a hardware store, spray into the engine air intake, if the truck starts and then stalls out you have no fuel being injected. Also make sure when the engine is cranked that the engine computer (ECM) is getting power, you could have a problem with the starter motor switch, this is the electrical switch the ignition key actuates.

COOLANT CHARGING

things you need(to do it properly) vacuum pump,r134a gauges and leak detection of some sort first locate lowside port connect blue connector from gauge to it (lowside is the skinny hose)connect vacuum pump to yellow line open valve on blue guage manifold.
pull a vacuum to less than 30" hg for thirty minutes.close bluevalve on manifold watch needle make sure pressure doen't rise if no change in pressure after 15 minutes no leak.if pressure does rise then you have a leak and need to find it.(cheap/messy way use get a can of 134 with dye in it fill system and let it run look for dye on system usually on pump around back of clutch, unless you replaced a compnent recently then check all fittings and seals.)
you will add r134a through the yellow hose.

1998 dodge ram 1500 A/C only blows through defrost

The air flow controls are vacuum operated and if the vacuum is lost it shifts to the default or no-vacuum position which is to the defrost. You most likely have a broken plastic 1/8" line under the hood near the RH side of the engine that supplies the vacuum to the HVAC controls. If the controls work normally unless you are accelerating then switch by themselves to defrost you may only have a bad check valve. There may be a vacuum diagram posted on the underside of the hood that shows these lines otherwise you'll just have to examine each line until you find the bad spot. There may be a plastic vacuum reservoir that one of these lines goes to so check it for any cracks or damage also.

How do i correct timing chain and gears installed correctly but #1 cylinder was in wrong position

What you are saying cannot be true. IF the timing chain and gears were installed correctly, the #1 cylinder would be in the correct position. Most likely what you have done is that you have the crankshaft in the wrong position. The crankshaft rotates twice for every rotation of the camshaft. Thus, the crankshaft timing mark will align with the camshaft mark twice - once with #1 cylinder TDC on the compression stroke, and once with the #1 cylinder TDC on the exhaust stroke. You probably have the crankshaft on the exhaust stroke when it should be on the compression stroke. You will need to take the chain off and rotate the crankshaft one full revolution and reinstall the chain. Best guess, IMHO.

How do I remove fuel pump from dodge 1998 1500

An easier way you may want to consider is removing the bed of the truck. There is only 6 bolts from underneath.2 in the front and 4 in the rear then just remove fuel cap and fuel neck screws and unplug tail light plugs on both sides.

Can I convert from a pull headlight switch to a twist switch?

There is no direct plug-in replacement for it, but if you really wanted to do it and were ambitious enough to get a junk twist switch module and its connector plugs, with some careful wiring modifications, you should be able to make it work since both switches perform the same basic functions. However, be advised that the pull-type switch also has the dome/dash light dimmer incorporated into it where the twist type has a separate dial control for that function. You would need to pull a switch module assembly out of a vehicle that has both devices to wire the thing up properly. I have a 1999 Dakota that has just that configuration, and it would probably suffice if you can manage to fit it into the space you have a available.

How much Freon and oil to put in a new used compressor

These dont use Freon. Freon is R22 These use R134 -46oz and 13oz of oil. You need to pump down the system though once the oil is added and let it sit with the vacuum pump to remove any moisture. Any moisture left in the system will ruin your expansion valve and compressor quickly. Then add one can of R134 and run the system for a minute to distribute the oil. then add more R134 until the gauges show it at the right pressure for your ambient air .

How much Freon and oil do I need to add to a new used compressor

13oz of PAG46 oil. Be sure to vacuum down the system after you put the oil in. Let the vacuum pump run for about 30min or more. Then roughly 46oz of R134A but you want to use gauges so you dont over pressurize due to ambient temperature.

How do I get the axles out of a Dodge Ram 1500 4WD?

Remove the hub/bearing assemblies and the axles will pull right out. 3 bolts (12 point bolts) hold each bearing to the knuckle, and the bearings may be frozen into the knuckles - this can be a problem and you may need the assistance of a pro if you can't get them out.
