Yeah disconnecting the battery would clear the code not cause it to come on. When you turn the ignition on the light should flash, it will be maybe three flashes then pause then let's say eight more flashes, this would be a very generic code, such as fuel system to lean, o2 sensor, for example. The codes may be still stored or will obviously come back again. Don't drive it to make it shake or do damage. Go slow and take it to auto zone or oreilly or similar and have it scanned for free. When the radiator isn't functioning correctly the transmission will get too hot internally and the fluid will overheat. The valve body in the transmission expands and the clearances allow pressures inside the transmission to lower. I suggest you get the radiator repaired. That white smoke you see may be coming from worn rings on the pistons or worn valve stem seals.

Headlight switch is worn out, had the same thing on an old Ford pickup truck.

The first thing I would do, is use a digital multimeter across battery posts, everything off, take reading, the generic spec for a full charge is around 12.6 volts. If your reading is much less, you need to charge the battery. With meter leads touching battery posts, have a helper turn the key to crank, if complete circuit, the reading shouldn't drop below 9.6 volts, if it drops down close to zero, that's not going to work. Another thing that might happen, is not much drop at all, that usually means an open starter circuit, somewhere.What about battery connections? See the starter relay, if you unplug the relay and use a jumper wire between terminal 30 and 87, the starter motor should crank, if voltage--ground and starter motor are ok. If you try that, make sure tranny is in park or neutral and parking brake is set. Safety is your responsibility. You can remove the starter, lay it on the ground, hook up jumper cables properly from battery to starter motor, it should kick out the drive gear and spin. Some of the national brand auto stores will test your starter motor for free, I believe, if you take it to them. Check your charging system. I could go on and on, but, my post is already too long. Just trying to help.

Nearly every vehicle on the road has an EGR valve. Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve is a standard for emissions control. You took one off, it's probably still good, but since it's off, replace it anyway. Sa for the throttle position sensor, it makes no difference about your mfg date on the door post and being a '98 part, it's the same and your mfg date is definitely a 1997. The don't change model year until late September. TPS still should be the same part number.

Make sure the fluid level is correct on the dipstick as the clutch packs will often take a while to fill with fluid and you may need to add more fluid

Most are not fixable...listen to hear if you hear any movement in the mirror you are working on...if you hear movement but it is not moving then the assembly needs replaced... if you dont have movement check to see if cycling the switch to opposite mirror engages opposite side....if the other moves the one you are working on doesn't then it is the moter in the mirror or a bad switch

A bad sensor should throw a CEL/SES light, while fuel pumps don't throw codes(usually).

heat on any suspension part makes it soft and is not allowable find out why it is out of align and what caused it cold bend is much preferred.

Bleed your breaks.

if you cant bleed the bleeder screw,then bleed what you can with the line

Check line from master to wheel slave cylinder. It may be kinked, smashed or bent, causing a blockage. If not that, it could be a problem with balancing valve in master.

It depends on where the screws that hold the front or rear door panels on are hidden. On my 1998 Buick Park Ave for instance, all the door panels have two screws that are hidden by a 3/4" wide x 5" long thin plastic removable piece that is located where you put your hand to grab the door to shut it; there is also a screw behind a courtesy light that is on the lower right bottom of the panel that can be preyed out with the end of a flat-end screw driver.
