When the new motor was installed some blockage may have been created in your fuel system because it may be that the system is filling slowly when it is stopped but when you go again it uses the fuel quicker than the amount the blockage can let through. Check the system from the tank right through.

Could be the filter to valve body is not 100%.I would add fluid as a test,if the trans is happy after the increased fluid level,then it is sucking air as the fluid shifts forward on a stop.

Your regulator is integrated to the fuel pump inside the tank.

its a 27 year old truck and between age environment dirt snow salt rust critters or any other thing that can wear down wires ,connections or components --before putting computer back in test and check harness and connections for a short because thats probably burnt the computer

Pull the radio out and have it repaired. Make sure it has power first.

might just need bleeding through more , check for any leaks etc on all connections,pipes etc
