Hi. Every time you turn ignition on you should hear your fuel pump working for few second. (Priming) if you can't hear it turning on check fuse or fuses and relay first before you check the pump.

2 or 4 barrel?
If auto choke, chk yhat for opening.
Msnifold vac fluctuating or thats just the range? Sounds a little high. neck time you start the motor, give the throttle a snap and vck the coke play position Cold running the choke should be 1/4 - 1/3 open. If you need info on how to adjust let me know Hot, or at operating temp, choke should be wide open. Good luck.

there is no inertia switch only ford uses them check for power to the pump if its there replace the pump if not check fuses and relays

the sensor not to correct deepth the air gap is not correct

I replaced fuel filter 1992 Dodge Ram W150 4wd 5.2 engine...located inside frame rail psgr side just fwd of rear wheel. mounted 1/2 in. bolt.

LOCATED IN DISTRIBUTOR, UNDER CAP.

Under the steering wheel .

Should be a large black box in the engine compartment on one of the fenders with one or more wiring harness.

if truck has a ceramic ballist resistor near and connected to coil this could be problem or the crk posistion sensor could be too, i would change ballast first if you have on your truck appx cost $10

Hi, Hope I can help you.
I do not know how you have checked for spark, but lets start from the beginning.
Lets start with an ignition systems check.
1. I want you to remove the high voltage coil wire. ( That's the wire in the center of the distributor cap.) Using a good pair of insulated pliers. I want you to hold it about 1/4 inch from a good engine ground. Now you will need a bit of help from a partner. Get them to turn the key and crank the engine. You should see a bright blue and well defined spark. Ok, If you have spark I want you to slowly move the coil wire away from the engine ground. As you do this I want you to pay attention to the coil tower. (The coil tower is where the other end of the coil wire is attached.) What your looking for is arcing and sparking at the coil tower. If this happens then you need to replace the coil with a new one. If this does not happen then your coil is working fine, and we will have to move on.
Note if you do not get spark from the coil wire replace the coil.

2. Ok if you have spark now we have find out if the spark is making it to the spark plugs. How are we going to do this? By checking the rotor, distributor cap, spark plug wires and spark plugs.First lets remove the distributor cap. This will allow use to inspected the rotor and the distributor cap. What your looking for is, cracks, carbon tracks and wear at the tip of the rotor. On the distributor ,look inside the cap for cracks, carbon tracks and wear on the terminals. If you find any of this replace the distributor cap and rotor. ( Note if you have any doubt of the condition of the rotor or the cap replace them.) Next lets check your spark plug wires. Lets pull off one of the spark plug wires from the spark plug side. Now inspect the wire connection for a white crusty powder. If you find crust replace your wires. Now you should check all of them the same way, but if even one has corrosion replace them all. You are going to have to inspect the wire its self . Going down the whole length of the wire. Holes cracks burn Marks and other damage. Once again if you find any damage replace them all.

don't cut the harness, best buy sells plug to plug harneses there about fifteen dollars, there very worth the money no wiring just plug into vehical harness strait to the back of any radio.

Do you have Voltage (there is no juice) to the ignition switch,distributor,fuel pump or coil.

NO---Check (ASD) Auto Shutdown Relay, in engine distribution box

you may want to check your main fuse which is located under the hood

I would guess a bad spark plug wire. Moist air will provide a path for the spark to jump to ground from a bad plug wire. You could test with a windex bottle filled with water and spray the engine in different spots. Also check for moisture under the distibutor cap.

the fuel pressure regulator valve is on the fuel rail and runs off of vaccum

You might have a short in the headlight switch itself. I would check the positive side of the taillights to see if they are shorted to ground. Not sure on a manual, besides All-Data.com. You can also purchase it thru Auto Zone.com.

should be on the name plate look on driver door sill on fire wall or on hood when u lift hood up
